Rpg maker crashes

I have the 20 day trial. It worked first week. Now when I load up rpgmaker mv it crashes every time. It'll load the beginning part where it asks if I wanna buy it and it tells me how many days i have left of the trial but the second i try to load the application it crashes. I've tried uninstalling and installing and no bueno. If I can get this working I'll buy the application for sure.

does it crash with an error message or does it just vanish?

In both cases, the most common cause is a background program blocking it, like an antivirus detecting a false positive.

This happens more often with RMMV than with other programs, because RMMV uses webtechnology on local files (in order to prepare for multi-OS-deployment as a HTML5-game) - and an antivirus that has a very aggressive heuristic search can't understand the difference between a website accessing local files (which needs to be blocked because that is usually a virus) and a local program accessing local files (which is what RMMV does and what does not contain problems.

Other options are network access controls or similiar user access programs.

You need to identify which other program blocks the editor and then either update that program for the newest detection files or whitelist RMMV inside it.
