I am having some recent problems with my game that go beyond certain features not working as plugins have described. Now the game cannot be shutdown unless I close it with Task Manager.
I think it started to occur when I installed this plugin. I should also mention I do have a few of Yanflys plugins installed too.

@Midnight Kitty Generally speaking we find it better if people do one query per thread, then it is easy to follow which query is being answered etc. It also makes it easier for people who have the same problem in the future to find the answer.

Could I suggest that you edit out the second query (character creator) from your post and start a separate thread.
Thanks.

a frozen program is often a sign of a looped event, probably a parallel event not stopping, or an autorun event auto-running itself.
identify which map is running when that happens, and disable all the events in it so they don't run.
if it still locks up, then there's a loop in the code that needs to be debugged.

@Kes I edited it to remove the character creator question, sorry.

@gstv87 The game will not close on any map, even on the main title screen. I added a plugin to close it which just turns the screen black. Pressing X results in no response. The game just keeps going.

when you have the plugin to close the screen, what do you see on the console if you hit F8? Are there any error messages?

Disable all of your plugins, save, and see if the problem still happens. If it doesn't, enable them again one by one, saving and testing after each, to figure out which one causes the issue.

If none of that helps, my suggestion would be to start a brand new project, re-add the plugins manually, making sure they're in the correct order and setting up all the parameters, then copy across your data folder and any extra resources you've added. Sounds like something's got its wires crossed somewhere.

Also make sure your MV is the latest stable version and that your plugins are appropriate for that version (do this first, before trying the above suggestion).

I located the problem.
When I remove SRD Super tools Engine it works fine. Only problem is that removes the character creation feature completely.

I would post in the thread for that plugin.

Out of interest, when you disable all the other plugins and just enable that one, do you still get the error? Or does it work okay?

I tested it as a lone plugin and it did not have this issue. I have since read it may be a conflict with some of Yanflys plugins so will have to test those further. I created a new game with the plugins from Yanfly and the Game Upgrade and SRD and got range error from it. But the game closed.
This seems to be the problem.
Code:
if(Imported["SumRndmDde Game Upgrade"]) {

MakerManager.onWindowClose = function() {
    GameWindowManager.onWindowClose();
};
I removed the game upgrade plugin so it was the problem.

Not really - if it works without the Yanfly plugin, then the game upgrade plugin is not the problem. It's a compatibility issue. You would be just as accurate to say the Yanfly plugin is the problem.

The next step is to determine WHICH Yanfly plugin it's incompatible with, and then to write or request a patch. You could also try putting the game upgrade plugin above Yanfly's in the list to see if it makes a difference. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

I had the game upgrade plugin at the top of the list, removing it has caused the problem to cease on all fronts.
I setup a separate project with just the SRD Super Tools Engine and Game Upgrade installed and got the exact same error message.

If you tested it with a lone plugin and did not have the issue, and you created a separate project with just those two plugins and you have the issue, then it's a compatibility issue between those two plugins, and Yanfly's has nothing to do with it. Does it still happen in your new project if you swap the order of those plugins around?

Swapping the plugins around results in another error that prevents the game from loading. It can be closed that way however.

See that block of code in your console screenshot? Where it renames DataManager.isDatabaseLoaded to be SRD.DataManager_isDatabaseLoaded? Does the other plugin have that code as well - does it also rename it to SRD.DataManager_isDatabaseLoaded?

That would cause a Stack Object Too Deep error on the previous makers, and it sounds like that's what it's saying here as well.

To be fair I am not entirely sure. I never really looked into that.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
