@GoodSelf I use MuseScore to create music for all RPG Makers. So far I have just created songs for personal enjoyment.

I used to make music for VX (http://www.rpgmakercentral.com/topic/7306-michaelbrents-rpg-music-archive/), but now since they no longer accept MIDIs, and its a pain in the but to convert them, I need to find a new program.


How do you like MuseScore? Can you only make songs using music notes?

I'm sorry, could you rephrase that last part, I couldn't really understand. Also, MuseScore can export music files as .ogg, which RPG Maker likes.

Oh, now I get what you're saying! You compose using music notes. You can choose from probably 100+ instruments to compose for, dynamics ranging from pianississimo to fortississimo, and add in repeats, a title, a subtitle, and a lot more! It's really easy to use.

I'm gonna have to give it a try!
I'm not to keen on how to write music using music notation - im more adept at using chords and guitar tabs - but I've been looking to start making custom music again, so I'll check it out! Best of luck with your new music!

Thank you! There are options to use chords, but I don't know about guitar tabs considering that I don't play and have never had an instance where I composed music with guitar, so... Well, anyways, good luck!
