Sooo,

If i'm using the steam version. I should replace the base files with the 1.01 files manually? Where can I download those files? I have to start a new project and then copy those files to my existing project?

is there a nicer way to force the non steam version to another locale than to delete file in the locales folder?

You can download it and this plugin also work for standalone version since they are in .js

If you're using a mac. There's a link right there in the op
I clicked that link and downloaded, but it only contains RPGMV.exe (a Windows binary), a Locales folder, and a NewData folder. Is there a different link I missed?

there is no link for Mac because they are creating something for it.

Is there a planned update concerning the crashing QTWebEngineProcess.exe or .ogg files that still have a 4-5 second delay when loading? I haven't seen a response so far.

I have found a bug, create a new event and go to switches, create a new one and click apply, the apply button is still there.

Regarding this update I am happy to see they been looking through this right away and fixing it but are these updates official and a must? please tell me also does it apply with those plug-ins too?

On Win, right-click on the shortcut you use to open MV. Click properties, then click "open file location". That should give you the folder where all the files should go.

I think i updated but this is extremely confusing: we have to do it manually for both Steam and non-steam version? If we are using the plugins we have to update all those too? Shouldn't an automatic update for steam be possible and a small auto-updater for the non-steam version?

I don't know why I couldn't figure this out. *goes into hiding out of shame*

1. We are planning updates for EVERY error. This current one only fixes the things listed in the opening.

2. If using the standalone version, make sure to use the files to replace the ones in your MV directory.

3. With ANY version, make sure you replace the two js files in the new data/js folder into your existing projects. That project will NOT update unless you do this.

Is anyone else having problems installing files in the directory? Every time I try to edit anything it says I don't have permission to do it. I'm the Administrator and I don't have any anti-virus software blocking it. Is it okay If I just reinstall the program?

Thanks for the update! The decimal point freeze bug is fixed!

The next step: make RPG Maker MV omit unused files when exporting the project so that resulting games don't take up hundreds of megabytes. Can you do that?  :)

ah that would be nice but i guess it isn't coming (was stated somewhere)


because 1. takes time to programm and has no advertisment value


2. it's hard to scan for ressources used in scripts so this would most likely break stuff


guess we have to do it by hand

If you knew you weren't going to use the 'RTP' files, you can remove them when/before you start working on your game. Then if you need to add something, add it manually. It takes a lot longer this way, but it's the only good way to make sure your install only uses what you are using.
