@CleanWater already described very well the situation of Brazil in the scenario. Leaving a little of the subject to follow the subject: I venture to say that a single project created in the MV has been marketed here. Or rather, it has been sold here, perhaps most buyers are from other nationalities.

And returning again: I would buy the extension if it was an edit type of one of the older engines. Or a new one, as is the case with VN Maker, focused on a specific style. If I can not develop something for MV the way it is, an extension like this is out of the question. Commercially speaking, it's not interesting here, in this piece of excrément.

There's really just one thing to say, here...

I'm making a dungeon runner game. This would be awesome for future dungeon runner game work.

@CleanWater Wow! A black market for games. I can imagine people needing to follow strange symbols on walls to find a black market games dealer. Perhaps utter a secret phrase which will let the dealer know if it's safe to bring out his illegal goods. xD Sorry. I know it's not like that at all.
Well, actually you just need to reach their sales stand and ask for one. But if the cops catch them selling these...

I'm looking for some olha o rapa videos here, but I can't find one that really let things clear... :frown:

@CleanWater Sounds similar to the illegal DVD crap we have going on over here. You have people walking around with suitcases filled with poor quality DVDS, trying to sell them to people in cafes and what not. Sometimes, they set up a little stall in the street and have a lookout keep an eye open for the police. There's also people flogging this junk out of their homes, or the back rooms of a failing businesses. I guess it's a big business.

That's the same here. People sell illegal DVDs, CDs, Video Games, etc. And, unfortunately, almost everyone tends to purchase them here, first because they aren't really aware of the legality of these goods, second because that's the only way poors can have some of the same leisure riches have here.

I'm not particularly interested in this feature, I guess is a matter of personal taste as I don't like labyrinths in general, and (as others have pointed out) I'd be concerned about its performance

@CleanWater Wow! 2GB of RAM is pretty bad, in this day and age
You'd be surprised of how big the Third World is...:rswt

I'm starting to try parallax mapping (realizing how incredibly better my maps are looking thus far) and it goes akwardly slow, when it shouldn't. I have the same problems that @Oscar92player has, and my computer is powerful enough to run MV. (Hell, I'm not an expert, but can somebody explain to me via PM how can I perfectly run Assassin's Creed in my pc but not a parallaxed MV dining room?)

@Orb I was always aware that Brazil had its fair share of poverty, but generally thought of it as a fairly prosperous nation.

I'm for this. The other day I was playing a labyrinth game and was like, this would be pretty cool to do for MV.

Regarding performance, I think it would be fine since you'll most likely have to use a 3d library like Three.js or BabylonJS. Or one of those experimental 3d plugins for pixi. The problem is that this will probably require webgl to run. And as for current performance issues, I don't see any. The only "issue" that I see with MV is that it doesn't come with a culling function, so if you have thousands of sprites throughout the map it will lag since it's rendering all the off screen sprites.

Please please please please! I've been wanting that for years! There's a script that does it but its a pain in the butt to work with, built in would be so much easier!

I'm gonna agree with a lot of other people and say this is an absolutely amazing idea, but I'd much rather see performance improvements take the front stage over a project like this.

MV runs fine on my computer, but even my mid-end laptop has some framerate issues with MV games--and don't get me started on Android/mobile development!

@The Stranger Agreed, but almost everyone here that owns a PC will have 2GB of RAM and only a few will have 4GB.
Only very few rich gamers will have PCs with 8GB of RAM with GeForce GPUs installed, the majority here only use basic Integrated Graphic Boards.
Rich? My new rig cost me about $500 over several months and I have 8GB easily. No, "rich" gamers own a rig with 32GB of RAM and a 1070 and higher GPU. My rig can handle this new addition easily and was far less than an enthusiast build. Integrated graphics processors are getting better, so they can match low and even mid-range, dedicated graphics cards. No need to be "rich" to build a system that's more than capable of running this. ;)

I think the user is not from the United States. Here in the US we benefit from fairly low-cost production and the strength of our currency and the ease of distribution. In other countries without that same infrastructure, it's only the well-off who can afford a rig we Americans consider to be mid-range.

Doesn't even need to be mid-range. Low profile, modern 2017 PC's can still get the job done as long as you look for the right parts. Just have to know what to look for, even without a dedicated card. Also, 4GB is VERY low for most high end gamers and content creators, but RM games aren't high end, thus they can be handled with proper specs. That's my real point. Even in countries with an awful economy, building a system capable is rather easy and cheap. If one can buy a pre-built computer from a retailer like Dell, HP or Asus, you can build a very low profile PC still capable of running games with this feature. :)

That's why my company mission is to develop games that can run on any PC, even modest or outdated ones. Only a person on this condition understands the pain of not being able to play new released games because developers don't care to develop games they can play.

$1 = R$3,30 (Brazil currency).

A common worker here earns R$937,00 per month. Only the GeForce GTX 1080 8BG here will cost around R$3.000,00 and we still need to invest on more things to build a fair PC. Keep in mind that this is the same salary the worker uses to pay his/her bills and buy food. Now do the math.

I don't like being blunt, but I think maybe we should stop complaining about our computers and actually get back to the point. Like seriously, this is all off topic. :kaomad2:
Sorry, sorry... :kaocry:

Don't even need that kind of GPU to run this. I have a 1050 Ti which was about $150 USD, far cheaper than a 1080 8GB. A GTX 1080 is super overkill for this kind of plugin. That was my whole point, haha.

A simple Intel integrated graphics processor will suffice. Modern ones will do the job just fine with the CPU's that carry them. Budget system. I didn't even need a 1050 Ti for MV. I got it for other games, but for MV, it's also overkill. So yeah, can still build a really good, very low end system that can run this easily. Trust me on this. ;)

Ok... $150,00 * 3,30 = R$495,00, but you don't pay that price here, you will pay at least R$750,00 on the same 1050 Ti. So...

R$937,00 - R$750,00 = R$187,00 - But our common worker still needs to pay the rent, bills and buy milk for the kids.

Take my expenses for example, I pay monthly R$450,00 on my rent, R$150,00 on electric bill, R$50,00 on water bill and I expend around R$300,00 per month with food, not to mention the medicine for my mother. So I easily pass over the R$937,00 with my expenses and I have a very low standard life here on a small town.

Well, that's understandable, but when you tried to compare the GTX 1080, that makes it seem like that was the only thing worth getting and it wasn't. Still, you can always slowly save up for something. Took me months to even get this, so time and patience will get you there.

That being said, still want to know when I can throw my money at this plugin. :guffaw:

I voted yes. ^o^ Because I think this tool could be a very useful tool in helping with adding more flare to the existing RPGM front view battle system. Two, it opens more doors to the direction your game can take. For example I asked my friend, and she thinks this tool could be great for horror adventure mansion games. I seen plugins emulate this before in the past but having an official tool is always a plus in my books. So please, take my money!

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
