I recently bought RPG Maker MV from Steam, and whenever I load it up, a window pops up and says that RPG Maker MV has stopped working. I tried reinstalling Steam, reinstalling RPG Maker MV, I let it through my Avast! and Windows Firewall. My computer runs on windows 7 BTW.

That's weird  :| Have you tried to run the program like an admin?

Something is still blocking the execution, and you have to find out which program that is. Could be that you overlooked something in your antivirus (firewall is unlikely as the RMs can run in offline mode, test that) or there is another program causing this on your computer (parental lock, video capture (no joke, that happened due to a video capture program trying to capture Ace as a steam game or other options.)

I'm having this problem with the Steam Mac version. I was just about to make a new thread when I saw this.

It's kind of an annoyance for me, but whenever I launch using the desktop shortcuts or open the app directly in the Steam apps folder it just opens for a second and shuts itself down / closes itself.

The only workaround I found is open Steam and click the launch button directly on the RPG Maker MV page.

I also have a beef with the MV Steam version being all Steam'y. Like random after launch these "chat on Steam" pop ups show up in the UI and cover up buttons I need to click on.

I should have waited for the standalone Mac version to release on RPG Maker Web.

I'm not sure if I can (in fact I think I've read somewhere that I can't) but could I download the standalone version with my Steam license? I think they are separate entities, but you can't blame a bark for trying.

Mogwai, please refrain from necro-posting in a thread. Necro-posting is posting in a thread that has not had posting activity in over 30 days. Also, you'll want to be more careful about not hijacking someone else's thread with your own questions.  This issue isn't actually related.  You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
