Hello,
I bought the RPG Maker and started mapping and also did parallax for shadow and for additional details, however since I tried the game a few minutes ago, I can see in the task manager how to game ramps up RAM and then crashes. I use
TDDP_BindPicture
MadeWithMv
OrangeMapshot
YEP_CoreEngine
Oggy Memory Leak

I tried enabling and disabling plugins but it just won't work. I really want to proceed with the game but I can't test it since I only got around 20 sec until crash

Try removing that memory leak pluggin, because for the looks of it, it was made for MV 1.3.1 which has many different JS functions and uses a really old NWjs version.

If that doesn't help, we will need more information about the size of the images being used by that TDDP_BindPicture plugin and/or information about parallel process events that may be running.

also please tell us which version of the core you're using - just open your projects rpg_core.js file with a text editor and tell us the number at the end of the title line.
If there is no number then it's 1.0 - and anything pre 1.4 has a lot of memory leaks that are removed in current versions.

As the engine itself is running, this is probably better in MV Support.

[mod]I am, therefore, moving this.[/mod]

Found the error. I didn't know that you have to put an erase event on the end of the parallel process.

It depends on what kind of event it is (common event or map event) and what it's doing, and what you want it to do when it's finished.

Erase Event on a common event set to parallel does pretty much nothing (it moves the command index to the bottom, and then it starts from the top again).

not automatically.
sometimes you need to use erase event, sometimes you need to switch off the event and sometimes you need to place a wait into the parallel process - it all depends on what the parallel process is supposed to do.

Basically I just want to end some Godray overlay, but I have to put a erase picture in every other map. If I don't do it, the rays will stay forever!

This is the "World overlay"

If I don't put those events in every other map, it will just display the pictures. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

No, you're doing it right. For events that need to "set up" map stuff before the player sees the map, a parallel process that erases itself at the end is the way to go.

You probably don't need to do that on EVERY map though - just the ones you can reach from the map with the overlay.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
