dayum I love this new screenshoot and yes...I am with shaz those faceset are awesome haha and I love how the system seem really familiar to ace but with new stuff xD
and I am the only one who noticed....
CUSTOM FREAKING EQUIPMENT SLOTS!?
I was linking it to facebook might be why, but i changed it.. it's coming from PhotoBucket now..

Anyone know what "Types" is referring to? I feel like its obvious and I'm just overlooking something.
it's simply the sames as features in Ace
....even EB announced that's will use JS so yes...or they would not doing any sub forum about that
Look like we can do literally ANYTHING with JS based on RPGmaker engine. (if all classes are open)
well like all language JS is not "superior" to ruby at all Ruby have is better and cons but JS also have horrible default like Inexact maths
but they do also have the problem to risk to provoke a BSOD if you are not careful (you can do that with ruby too but this a little more complicate)
I don't mean JS "superior" to any language including Ruby, I mean we can make any type of game/game mechanic based on MV if all classes are open. Or am I wrong?
The screenshots is very cool. Finally something new! Please show us the other tabs, too. One per week or something, plus some other things (like the face generator)?
@Shaz: I know the term "traits" from somewhere. Could it be that VX used it, and then they switched to "features" for VX Ace? Anyway, "traits" and "features" are actually the same thing.
Could be. I never used VX, although I have it.
VX doesn't have it (I think), it has the clickable list system like XP has.
But I thought "Traits" was features? I mean on the tabs to the left of the data boxes there's actors, classes, etc. Down towards the bottom there is a new Types tab between system and terms.
Yeah, traits = features. Types is something different.
Types is simply weapon types, armor types, elements and that stuff. But I wonder why it has its own tab now. There wasn't that much in VX Ace.
Thanks for posting that screenshot! So I went and checked the Facebook, and there's some official comments that are interesting...
But first, the Types tab is not in VXAce, I actually opened it up to check. If I recall correctly, Features in VXAce were originally translated as Traits, so it's interesting they went back to Traits.
Back to official comments of interest, when asked about the Character Generator:

(I'm still waiting on those cover heroes to have sprites and stuff too, lol)
This screenshot actually tells a bit more than you would think...
1- Experience growth and stats are in the class.
2- There are by default custom equipment slots.
3- We know ther are Harold, T..., M..., Lucius ( I don't remember the names :c)
4- There arent any traits displayed, so probably there are new ones (regarding the new equipments, etc)
5- Types are probably now allowed to be declared things like "physical" "magical" and as 2003, the damage they do at some ranges...

2) Which is very nice.
4) I was wondering about this, too. Some traits were actually mandatory in VX Ace (so to speak). I guess it means that HIT Rate is 100% by default now, so we don't need to put HIT + 100% into every single character.
5) Could you explain in more detail? I don't remember 2003 very clearly.
