  • Are you using plugins? No need of plugins to see this error in the editor.
  • RPG Maker MV Version: Latest version, 1.4.0.
  • Is your bug already reported by another person? Don't know.
  • Bug Explanation: When you do right click with the mouse in the map editor, if is too big to reach the end of the editor window, the sub-window (for quick events, player positition, transfer events...) will be cut (like in the example image). Due to this bug, you cannot reach the options for quick events or adjust the player/ships position. This bug does not appear always, but it's still there. Updated explanation: This problem happens on the Map Properties too, when you double-click on a map name, the sub-window fails to load in the right direction and you are unable to select the options to shift the map, generate a dungeon or a map image.
  • Exact Steps on How to Replicate Bug: Do right click with the mouse in a map that reaches the end of the RPG Maker MV editor window.
  • Sample Project (REQUIRED): I think this kind of bug don't need a sample project if you have installed RPG Maker MV. Just try the steps to replicate the bug.
  • Other notes: If you change the size of the map in the editor, the bug it's solved partially, but it still occurs if you have a big map that reaches the end of the editor window. This can be problematic for some users who wants to create quick events in the outermost part of a map.
  • Example image:

Thanks in advance for the help.

Ah yeah, I see what you mean. It looks like it happens when the edge of the map is only just shy of being at a coordinate where the "move the submenu to the left side instead" code kicks in.

I hope someone can give us an answer to this topic to evaluate the problem and see if it's something that needs to be fixed quickly or not. I know this is not a big bug, but as every bug with this Maker, I think it must be solved in future updates.

For now, can you make those quick events in another tile, then drag them to that spot? Might be a short term solution until it gets fixed.

Yep, that's what I'm doing right now. It's a quick fix for this until a new update arrives with a solution.

Sorry about double-posting, but I found that the sub-window fails to load in the right direction when double-click on the maps too. Look at this image:

This is problematic when you want to shift a map, or generate an image or a dungeon. I will update the main threat with this image too.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
