@padr81 : You need to go the Manage Asset Wizards, then select "Manage templates". Then, select the template you want to work on, and click on the "Edit parts and drawing order..." button. Then, you just need to move up and down the parts in the current drawing order list. Use the up and down arrows to move the parts around.

I'm getting this error when I attempt to select the Eyes menu. Everything else works fine. This occurred after I imported a bunch of new assets.

@Reat : I will need you to send me by Private Message your folder of the Extended Generator (in a .zip or .rar file through a webhost like MediaFire), I'll take a look to see exactly what happens. 


Edit : After checking, it seems that the importation process has some bugs when finding duplicate files. In the meantime, I made a microfix to let you use the generator. The problematic file will be shown with no icon, and won't display anything.

I've noticed another bug: when I'm attempting to Export a face by loading a previous face image, the face I'm trying to place on it seems to load out of alignment.

I'll take a look, but it shouldn't happen either. I'll track down all these bugs for the next version then.

so im having an issue here. love the idea. im trying this out but for some reason i cant load new items. there not my items ther from the forums. can you help me. all the files are in the right places i guess i dont know how to load them

I was a long time out of the foruns because of college, but now coming back and seeing this amazing software that makes it more easy to add new resources to char generator, i think our community cant thank you enough, man some heroes really dont use capes. =b

Hi @Schlangan , i'm back to the forums after a long hiatus.
Well, i still have in mind to create a template to generate a RMXP Character alongside the default parts, but i still have difficulties understanding how the template mechanism works. Is anyplace a tutorial of how i could handle this?
Side note: I think i have 80-90% of parts similar to vanilla generator pieces, so i just need to assign each part with a default piece (i got these assets from a old generator for RMXP called CharsXP), basically a one-by-one assign.

I'm still getting the "hanging at Variation\Male" problem.

Hey @Schlangan , awesome work!!!! If you don't mind, I would like to suggest that you add the ability to separate color by category (Like in RPG Maker MV's generator), for example, Skin Colors, Eye colors, hair colors etc... Like this, it would be mutch better for sprites that uses exact colors, instead of color ramps (especially using "retro like" sprites, because, the ramp colors make it loss the contrast if you pick some ramps...). Of course, this is just a sugestion, anyway, good job, loved this tool!!

Hello Schlangan,
I wanted to add some missing Faces with "Manage Resource", but now I get an error everytime I want to use the gen parts, where I added the faces. Since I'm german, I can only offer you the german error massage. But I tried to translate the main massage (red)... I know that it will work, when I remove the parts and add them as new resources. But maybe you can work on it.

Um das JIT-Debuggen (Just-In-Time) zu aktivieren, muss in der
Konfigurationsdatei der Anwendung oder des Computers
(machine.config) der jitDebugging-Wert im Abschnitt system.windows.forms festgelegt werden.
Die Anwendung muss mit aktiviertem Debuggen kompiliert werden.

Zum Beispiel:

Wenn das JIT-Debuggen aktiviert ist, werden alle nicht behandelten
Ausnahmen an den JIT-Debugger gesendet, der auf dem

This is rather strange that two of you got similar errors. Something wrong must be going on, but I can't reproduce the error. I'll look into it though. And don't worry for the German message, I can read a bit of German so I understood what the error was.

Hello ! Nice work, I like it, altrough I have one little problem ... For now, I have have import Rpg Maker Generator and Hiddenone generator (But I tried with only RPG MV doesn't work too) , and my problem is the Eyes ... I colored them on the faceset (A beautifull red), but the battler / character remain blue. I cheked if anyone had the same problem, and you said to him
In fact, the eyes color in the sprites other than the facesets are body colors. If you look at the body color, you have two of them; the first color is the skin, the second color is for the eyes. For now you can color the eyes like this. Later, I plan to add an option to link colors of various parts, which will help t reproduce the default behavior.
Altrought you have surely linked color to a part, i can't found where to color eyes in the body ...

I have 4 color right now :Hair color , Skin color (Only 1) , Clothing Color (There is 3 of them) who is working operfectly fine and Eyes Color who affect faceset only.
Here some picture , because I don't know if you can understand what I mean (I'm not english) xD


Edit : Okay, so I have re-dowloaded the program and change the folder, it work that time ! Seem like the .exe didn't dowload good ...

I am having a problem where after I downloaded it no resources were loaded so I imported the default assets and now I just have a stand alone version of the basic generator. How to I get your extended options?

The extended version gives you a better control with possibility to move parts around, add many parts (for example accessories) at once, change color as you wish. This is what it does when you only import the default assets.

Now, you can also create new resources and add them to the generator, or importe resources created by users on this forum. The generator also allows you to create completely new sets of templates if you need them, or new parts/category.

Keep in mind that I coded the generator to be more versatile, but I do not provide resources for it. You need to add resources by yourself. To see all the available options I suggest that you read the tutorials to figure out all what the generator can do :
