My game follows an adventuring on his quest to find out why he was saved in a dungeon and who is hunting him. 

I am working on getting just a small area done in my game done. I want to have at least three small towns mapped inside and out and having the transitions working to each house.

Hm, I don't even know... I'm just working on a project - and all.

Recently I thought to try to remake some Ace sprites for MV (only for my project) - but I fear only one of them will take me at least a week  :guffaw:  Or draw a character's face, or draw a character. And at the same time gradually to make maps with a little recolouring and edit.

My game is about a character who wants to get rid of an evil soul. This soul all the time manages to indicate where to go and what to do. This evil soul is player. So, the character of the game is trying to get rid of player.

The character will be visiting all sorts of horrible places, meet witches and take other people's bodyes, souls to pass the obstacles.

Something like this.

I am going to make a HD update of my most beloved horror game series, combining the three short games into one singular bigger game with updated visuals and to help bring it up to date for a fair price. As the 2nd game in the trilogy had a very ilinear storytelling, I will use that as a base to which to better implement elements from the other two games.

This is just a WIP of course but this is how the new Caroline would look like

I was planning on making a Stealth/Sneak plug-in for MV.  It would also help me learn more about JavaScript.

It would provide event patrol routes, line-of-sight calculations, noise calculations, and have a per-Actor Stealth skill which influences visual and auditory detection.  Since MV has per-event note-tags, this would also allow each Event to have its own perceptiveness.  In a party, each Actor would have its own Sneak check, with the worst result affecting detection.  (Hint:  Don't bring your full plate wearing warrior along on sneak missions)

I'm not sure how much I can get done in a week, but I'll find out.

I actually used the instrument Ace icon as a base to make this. Might as well make a Scythe weapon sprite soon but it's highly expected that I also use the Ace iconset as a base (unless there is already a Scythe sprite exists/posted somewhere).

Since the MV launch, I've been RTP'ing around trying to achieve competency before I start something.


This week I'm starting on my project!


I started a master outline for a plot rooted in Nigerian creation myths.


Essentially there's a political tug-of-war in which the nations are producing global presidential candidates, who are campaigning based on competing philosophies about how to save the world.


There's some magic, things happen, big bad guys arrest control. Bing, bam, boom; party has to make their way to the final confrontation. So compelling, I know.


Yesterday I made a city map, with some custom RTP edit flair (which I'll share soon) and lots of community submitted tiles:

I'll join in on this drive I guess. Might as well earn myself a fancy~pancy trophy for my profile since I decided I was going to do some stuff this week anyway. ;)

But, this is actually a really busy week for me. Lots of stuff going on at (and outside of) work. However that does not mean that I can sit around and do nothing, does it? It just means that I'll have to accept that I'll probably do less and set a realistic goal for myself. So here we go!

Parallax Panda's Goal For This Week

During this week (the next 5 days since I'm a little late to the party) I will work on editing MV's "RTP" to make it more unique. I have accepted the reality that I'll probably have to rely on a mix of original and RTP resources for my games - but even so, I at least want to give them a fresh feel. Hence I'll be leaving no tile untouched as I work my way though all of the tile sheets. Deleting stuff I don't like and changing, hopefully improving (not sure about that tho! :guffaw: ), the tiles that I do like. The important thing is to make it my own so it mixes better with whatever tiles I decide to do myself later on. It's also a learning experience for me since I'm not used to GIMP.

I'll be starting off with the fantasy resources, focusing on the A-tiles first. I want to have at least the A1 and if possible also the A2 tiles done come next monday. I might also try my hands on making a water image to use as a parallax to go with the A1 tiles, but this will be a bonus goal!

Besides the tilesets I'll be working on another thing, my "Game Template", which in itself is not really a game project but rather a project base that I'll use in the future for all the games I'm going to make later on.

What I want done before the end of next monday is to sort my default plugin list. This includes deciding what will be the essential plugins that I'll be using for most, if not all, my projects and what I'm going to have to delete. I want to keep this list as short as possible though. The plugins then have to be placed in the right order so they'll work properly.

Another thing I want to do during this drive is to make a simple "credits" screen and fill it out with whoever I know I'll need to thank based on my default plugin list. This is going to require some research from my part actually since I never made a credit list before and I'll probably create a topic on this forum about this tomorrow if I have time. Well that is all I guess.

In case the above text-wall was to much for you, here is the short version! :p

1) Edit the A1 and A2 tiles from MV's fantasy RTP.

2) Organize the plugin list for my template project.

3) Make a simple "credits" screen for for above mentioned template project.

Since I decided to port my Ace game to MV I decided to instead of wait/use community available plugins to get my game back to where it was previously, I'd learn Javascript and do it myself.

So there are two very fundamental systems to my game, one is crafting and the other is skill points which characters earn while levelling up and can spend to get skills, standard affair.

Since I've already created the Skill Point plugin and integrated this with Yanfly's Victory Aftermath I'm hoping this week to at least get a foundation in place for a crafting system, although I know it won't be easy for me at least.

It's amazing what people are doing with MV, truly a great engine and a lot of talent in these forums. I look forward to seeing some more of what people are up to!  :D

I've just about finished all the research into the Cover Art character names.  I'll post my finished research in the next few days.  I'm still trying to find name meaning and name origin notes for 4 of the 16 characters and am having no luck with finding info on those names.

I am working with a friend together on a fantasy horror game currently that is set in a library. Since we were using RPG maker VX before and are very new to a lot of the features in MV, our goal for the drive is to create a playable 'room' and focus on building horror-style atmosphere and ambiance (music, sound effects, etc.)

My goal is to parallax a map (or maybe 2?) for my Sci-Fi game that I am starting work on. I also have a fairly secret project I am working on, but I am keeping that one under wraps until I am nearly done. I don't want anybody crowding my new-found niche before I try to fill it. :p

GMDs were the original goals & progress thread guys :p

My goal for this GMD is just to get as much done on my MV try-out project as I can. The basic plot of my project is to relift a curse on the crown prince Franz. Unfortunately all the heroes are occupied, so Chico, the clown, Penny, the bunnygirl, Morgan, the fortune-teller and Alexandre, the prince's butler are send on this quest. The story's pretty cliché, because I just would like to finish something and using a simple story like this will hopefully help me. ;)   (The imp's one of the antagonists.)

Prior to the start of this event, I've been doing the above graphics, made two small maps and have outlined a basic plot.

Today I continued with the graphics as I still had to edit a sprite and face for another antagonist. I can't however decide which one I like the best >.<

Whoa, those are magnificent.  I really love that clown.  It's an ugly dress.  Scythuz picked it.

My aim this week is to event some puzzles to go along with the few maps i have created for my latest project. Its a non serious project i am doing for fun to try and learn how make a games dialog more fun and humorous, without loosing the integrity of a game making it a joke. 

The basic story :

The main character waked up in the spirit world and meets his spirit guide who is a bear. I say bear he is actual a naked guy that thinks he is a bear lol, but that's because the main character has not learnt the reason for him waking in the spirit world or the lessons he must learn while he is there, so he doesn't see the world as it should be. 

Then the journey continues whatever i decide that will play out to be lol

Some charsets, somes facesets, somes tilesets, some maps. I also fixed a bug in my item system, and added flashlights common events using Terrax's light system. A screenshot today.
