RPG Maker MV keeps crashing

This wonderful thing happened. MV crashes really randomly while doing events. It just freezes for a second and then crashes. It also gives this message when trying to open the project straight from the file.

It does this for all my projects.

I can open the projects normally through MV.

I have reinstalled MV, verified cache etc.

Two possibilities:

The freeze is most likely caused by one of your background programs denying it from running, like an AntiVirus falsely detecting a virus. You need to check your background programs for which one is causing this and tell it to ignore RMMV.

The other part sounds like a problem with your registry, because that is where file associations are stored. This could either be a general problem of too few resources preventing the registry from being correctly loaded (which means you need to clear up HDD and background programs) or a Windows error or a virus.

This is really weird because it started happening just a while ago. I've used MV for like 800 hours and never had this problem.

Yes, that is the case with AntiVirus programs.
They get constantly updated, and sometimes the heuristic search gets a false positive of a number sequence that has always been there but now matches a new virus identification.
Or of course the possibility that your Computer really got infected from some where else a short while ago.

I added MV to expecptions, it didn't help, and checked for infections but found nothing.

Not sure but the cause could be newest update of nvidia graphics card driver version 388.13, someone reported MV crashing after updating too.

I reinstalled windows, got some updated graphics card drivers and the same problem still persists. I'm running out of options here.

I've gotten the same issue. It is not a Antivirus issue. Turning off and even uninstalling all antiviruses does not fix it.

Uninstalling the A/V, Uninstalling RPG Maker rebooting and then reinstalling RPG Maker still does not fix it.

I did some looking and this error seems to have to do with QT Engine which RPG Maker MV is using.

Looks like Skyforger might have been right. It may be a GeForce graphics driver issue. Updated from GeForce 388.13 to 388.31 and RPG Maker MV now starts again without the error. Still this is also a QT Engine issue apparently it didn't like that particular version of the GeForce drivers.
