That looks pretty official, and given all of the DS and 3DS versions, I wouldn't be too surprised. Thanks for the update!

If a consequence of this is that they add functionality which makes it easier to export MV games from PC onto Switch, I'll be over-the-moon with this! Please Kadokawa =)

EDIT: I also found this Tweet, which implies PS4 as well:

    Oh boy howdy...
If this does make it possible to port games over easier, I too would be exceptionally happy.
OR imagine being able to carry your project files over from console to console, so you could work on it on Switch when you're out and about.

Okay I'll stop there. Just because there are some minor details about it possibly being possible doesn't mean it'll happen xD
but the fact that it has a price lookup on the eb games servers is pretty damning

I just asked around and this is highly fake. But I'll research some more.

I believe you, of course, but it seems incredibly professional as far as fakes go if that is the case - especially for both Amazon and (seemingly) EB Games to have it listed in their systems. Thanks Archeia - please keep us updated if you find anything! =)

On a second thought, it could be legit. I guess we'll just have to wait for KADOKAWA and NIS America to make an official announcement lol.

If it turns out to be legit that would be really cool. What kinda export possibilities would be available for games made on the Switch?

So the EB Games listing was correct! Fingers crossed this opens a new, far more straight-forward era for exporting our work to consoles =D

Hm, I really thought this was fake. I was feeling it would not work so well with Switch considering the weak online service and still relying on a PC to make any assets at all.

If the series was successful enough on the SNES, Playstation, GBA, DS, and 3DS. I think it wouldn't be hard to believe the next entry would be for Switch.

Or as we're seeing right now, for general home consoles.

That said if it's anything like the above titles then I'm not interested. The lack of programming and importing resources is removing half of what makes RPG Maker a great engine.

The Amazon listing seems to say that there will be something called the MVP (MV Player) that will allow you to play MV games even if you don't have MV.
The way they have worded the text (or perhaps the translation) isn't clear on whether you'll be able to import assets or not though. It says that there will be "hundreds of graphics assets" and that "the sky is the limit," but the graphics that MV comes with are super sparse. Maybe DLC packs (hopefully not)?
I actually did enjoy messing around with RPG Maker 3 on PS2. Had some fun times making games with friends and sharing memory cards around. With the MV Player it sounds like it'll be even easier to do that and I always love to see more people getting involved with game developing! This would be a hit on the Switch.

It also straight up says E3 2018 at the bottom so we'll know if this is actually real or not by the end of next week. I would wager to guess that it definitely is.

I don't really care for a console version of RMMV (writing plugins is going to be a huge pain), but if it means I can build Switch/PS4 compatible versions on my PC in the future, then I'm very excited about this!

And also are we going to get the PS4/Switch version resources (if it different from the PC version) and the PS4/Switch mascot resources (like what they did for the PC version) in the future?

There's kinda a reason why we don't see maker software on consoles these days mainly because you can't do much with them... But current consoles DO support mouse and keyboard but at that point why not just have an export option released and make the game on PC/Mac (no, didn't forget about Linux :yswt:)

This also seems random, there's no mention at all on official channels and all listings were removed from amazon mexico.
This is either a hoax or somebody dropped the ball (but why Mexico? Usually leaks hit France or Germany...)

You still need to get a license from Nintendo and Sony, you can not use your home address and have to have a verifiable business address. You will also need a Dev Kit (Microsoft actually allows you to test on system, Sony or Nintendo do not) to actually test the game as well. Nintendo's Devkit is about $500, but a PS4 devkit is pretty pricey...
