Does anyone know if the bonuses are exclusive to the pre-orders or will they be available for everyone eventually?

It has been stated that the two bonus packs will be made purchasable later, but neither when nor how much you'll have to pay.

The plugins and converter is supposed to be released for free later as well.

@BlueRooster:

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I understand that it's better for the company to go digital, but for us who buy their product? Big no for me. If my pc will crash, or I'll decide to buy a new one, I'm expected to rebuy my previous owned program(s).

I do understand that if we'd be able to get a free copy back after pc switching, a lot of people would take advantage of that system. If we'd only get some kind of code after purchasing the product(s). Ah well, people would still be able to take advantage from that (giving their codes to friends etc.)...
This makes no sense, you get to install it on as many computers as you like, I have my steam account on 5 different computers and you can run them simultaneously.

Having a boxed copy offers no benefit other than looking nice on a shelf.

If your computer crashes...reinstall it.

If you buy a new computer...reinstall it.

I've been pushing for Cyberpunk stuff for a while now, but none of our tile artists love Cyberpunk stuff like I do >_> (though a lot of the Scifi stuff in MV can be used as a good base for it, just need more neon lights.)
Ahh, that's too bad. Cyberpunk (and Steampunk) are both really nice :(

I would love to see some cyberpunk graphic resources, my cyberpunk music pack is so cold and lonely without some graphics to go with it :(

Loving the addition of sci-fi/modern resources to the rtp, maybe now people will stop making fantasy games all the time? Maybe? Please? ;w;
NEVER! Scythuz, never. You can't escape fantasy games ~~o3o~~

And that is a nice thing, for some people.

They are not FORCING anyone to buy it.  Those who do have made the decision that it is worth their money.

I have a double boxed copy of Ace.  I installed one, and the other is still wrapped.  A boxed copy of MV will be a nice contest prize, should I hold one at some point for people who purchase my game.

If you don't want a boxed copy, don't get one.  It's as easy as that.

I generally buy box copies when I can because I have very slow/unreliable internet (box on a shelf is a bonus though!).

It's not a big deal with RPG Maker because it's not usually a gazillion gigs, but box versions are still my default and I think a valid reason for many people along with bandwidth caps (thankfully I don't have that). I don't begrudge companies that only do digital releases but it can be a deciding factor on whether I buy something. It won't be for RPG Maker though! Can't afford to pre-order currently, but will definitely pick up down the road.

@ Awesome the problem with that is that a pack that is of its own theme thatbis a bit far off from the ones that RM normally has would need to be big enough to make a full game, else people cant even use it...that is probably why thwre are far more fantasy sets

This is all great news!  Getting this about two months earlier than I anticipated which is a pleasant surprise.  I will be pro ordering mine in a week or two.  I want to say thank you to the developers, translators, artists, scripters, testers (and anyone else responsible) for making this engine possible and for ensuring it's speedy release.  This is definitely shaping up to be the best maker yet and at a very fair price point.  Enterbrain has outdone itself.  Nice work everybody!

@Shaz - Impossible!

You cannot like what I do not like!

Options are terrible for people! /sarcasm

Also, Makio-Kuta is correct Scythuz.  There will only be Fantasy RPG Maker games and you will learn to love every one of them. MUAHAHAHA

Umm, Neuromancer re-told as an MV game? Yes please! And here's another please to add to that please, so now there's three pleases...wait...there's lots of pleases, let's leave it at that. Somebody just give us some cyberpunk stuff, that's the takeaway point here. :D

I wasn't gonna pre-order due to dollar rate here in Brazil but the Steam version is much more affordable here.

This would be great! My game is leaning this direction now, so maybe I'll have to get good at making things, lol!

Also in the boat of preordered and cannot wait.  The decision to preorder from here rather than steam was pretty much made, with the fact that I get a key that works with both steam and non-steam version. :)   Already redeemed the key on steam to have it ready for download there once it is released. :)

Um ... I have not confirmed anything. ;)

I'm just saying that personally, if there WERE an MV boxed version, I would get a couple - one to keep for me and one to give away.  And that giveaways could be a "valid reason" to get it, if just wanting one isn't valid enough ;)

or they will have Pro ruby who will say : RUBY WAS BETTER! JS SUCK!

the engine lacks of stuff

that's was the same thing's in Ace :/ you had always people who was sayings in a ways rpg maker sucks...and I am like : why you  use it '3'

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
