Uh...maybe don't operate from the view that everyone can afford a new set-up or update it at the drop of a hat. Many of us just use the old stuff until it breaks down or really, REALLY old. Words like "just use XXX(X!) dollars!" are kinda assuming you have ANY sort of money. (Any number with more than two digits on it is prohibitve for me I'm so broke XD)

It's neat if you have the means to do that, but its certainly not the default.

Ace fullscreen works for me on Windows 10, but the chances of MV's being broken for you are also low.

The full screen issues are due to monitors and drivers, not due to a particular software program. There are a number of threads in the Tech Support area where that is, and can, be discussed.

If you look back through the thread you will see several screenshots from Steam (or you could go to Steam yourself and look) that shows the different pricing by region. Apart from price, you should know that buying from RMWeb will give you a standalone version AND a Steam version (both using the same key). Buying from Steam will only give you the Steam version.

Yes, actually someone share something similar to that. Only the key, right? No differences about bonuses?

@sokita bonus wise no they are the same other than the key but for some regions the price may vary and thus it will be more sensible to buy on steam or rpg maker web depending upon the region.

Okay. Thanks! I am asking this because I checked on Steam, and there are no words about conversion script bonus. So If I bought it from Steam, I still got bonuses equals to if I bought this from official web.

About languages:

Is it a simple setting inside the .exe? Or I have to download it in the wished language?

In the case of Canada, it makes more sense to buy from steam, if you don't mind not having the stand-alone version.  (Steam price (with 10% discount) at $79.82 CAD.)  WebRM price, with 10% discount, converted to CAD (according to google), = $93.22 CAD.   On the other hand, I wanted to have both steam and stand-alone,  and also, the publisher gets a larger cut through webRM rather than through steam anyways. :)

oh when I think guys you didn't think and Archeia explained me with the fact it's no-hidden classes and the fact it's use PIXIJS....

it's will allow us in a ways to do thing's like this :

http://www.goodboydigital.com/pixijs/examples/15/indexAll.html

(it's from the creator of the library)

AND with expert in coding or in Light and shadow (A.k.a : Shader)

it's will be able to reproduce shader's in the levels of minecraft shader :o

or you could in theory reproduce Minecraft lol...

but I do think it's will be hard to do though

BUT seriously imagine...maybe after one year...we will maybe have super insane Shader for make our games looks ...wells....cool : D

SO don't exist and jump on mv : D

What kind of bugs would Yanfly's plugin fix that weren't fixed in the engine itself?

So, that resolution thing. That's really cool!

All that space gives me ideas...Like having larger parties! Would be pretty easy to fit 8 characters in that menu at once. Or in battle at once, with two rows! Also provides room for more stats. Like a 4th or 5th "P". A 3rd skill point type? Something like Life Points from SaGa?

The battle plug-in preview shows lots of promise. Characters jumping around and such. I really hope for moving monster attacks, like throwing attacks. (picture Sabin's Suplex from FF6!) Or actors throwing each other at the enemies (picture Umaro from FF6 or Bowser from Super Mario RPG). Or...I'll wait to see before I get too excited.

Some good news actually. You still would be able to play games if they surpass your screen resolution.. The below is me using the plugin to change the screen resolution to 3840x2160, which is quite larger than my screen resolution size.

Long bars are long
It is set so that RPG Maker MV will automatically adjust its window size to the maximum dimensions of your screen (minus the taskbar if you're on Windows). After that, the game canvas (inner screen) is then scaled to maximum fit.
how is the performance? any slowdowns/lag/stuttering?

Am I the only one who thinks that the fact they are still working on the engine's codebase is a valid reason to NOT buy MV ??

I mean, if a product is being released on day 5, and the programmers are working it until day 4, to me, that means the following things have happened:

* wont have been adequately tested.

* 'final' version will still contain bugs.

* certain planned features likely havent made it to the final version.

Additionally, many of default plugins are BUGFIXES!!.. Kinda BS is that? Those bugs should not be there, they should not require fixing, and if you know about them prior to release, fix them prior to release!  IMO, expecting/requiring the community to fix those bugs is just bad practice - no better way to put it.

Dont get me wrong, I have pre-ordered MV, and will likely have many hours of fun with it, but I also have the feeling there is going to be many many 'quirks' of the engine that will cause mass disappointment...

Maybe I'm just being paranoid...

On the topic of resolutions, i'm going to keep mine kinda low.. like 816 x 480.. to maintain a widescreen ratio of sorts.

I don't see a need in a HIGH resolution.

I just always wanted more customization when it comes to ratio anyhow.

I hate the boxed in look on my monitor... which is 1360 x 768.. but i feel that would be too high for my game considering i am doing custom graphics, and i rather not have to make really large assets...

In fact, it would be cool to go back to something where the tiles are 16x16... if i wanted...

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
