    Hello i buyed the RPG Maker MV Steam Version, but there is no legal information about the program. I search for the EULA to see what i can do and what i can't do, but in the help page the EULA file is missing(says the page was deleted or does not exist). Can you please tell me where can i see the RPG MAKER MV EULA file?

    I've moved this thread to MV Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

    Not sure if this is the best place for this thread, but I'm putting it here.

    I actually noticed this the other day when I was looking for something in the EULA, and meant to bring it up. @Lunarea or @Archeia Tagging you so someone in the know can see this.

    Sorry for the wrong forum (i'm new here XD).
    I also try to find out if the official page could see the EULA, but In the home page of RPG MAKER there is only the VX ACE license:
    http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/support/information/eula

    So idon't know if only is my case...

    That is why you need to wait for lunarea's answer.
    There have been changes to the EULAs over time, so you need to wait for an official answer on what happened and the restoration of the links.

    Sorry I'm going to wait XD. It's just that it's very rare for me to be the only missing file in "help".

    Yeah, it seems to be an issue with the link to the file. I know it was working fairly recently - within the last 2-3 months, I'd say? Because I remember looking something up in it for someone here. Which, is why I was surprised when it wasn't the last time I went to look at it. I'd imagine it's just a glitch in the link somewhere.

    Greetings,

    I too would like to read the EULA for RPG Maker MV:
    • Where can I find the official EULA for RPG Maker MV?
    I've got five of my friends interested in creating a game that explains how to use the JavaScript console to understand the Underlying Game Engine. This will help teach people how to use & create plugins.

    I want to be able to easily share that game with them (and others), so I want to post it on a web site.

    Currently I'm on my 7th day of the 30 day evaluation trial period of RPG Maker MV.
    • So I want to know if I can post games to the internet with my trial version, or I need to get a paid version first
    Thanks,

    Joy Diamond

    P.S.: Yes, I fully plan to get a paid version; but since it will probably be 10+ paid versions for everyone I am getting involved ... I want to wait to see if there is some discount available (I wish I had not missed the November 8th Midweek Madness on Steam!) ... or maybe get a team discount ...

    This topic just came up on a German forum, and I wasn't able to find it on the official site . Since it's been over two months since the last post, has this been resolved yet? If so, could someone point me to the current version of the MV EULA? I haven't been able to find it on the official site. :o

    It seems to have been forgotten, so better ping Degica again for an answer
    @Lunarea @Archeia @Touchfuzzy
    Even on this site there is only the EULA for ACE and Ace RTP published, the EULA for MV is completely missing both here and on Steam Shop, can you check why?

    The EULA is still missing in RPG Maker MV 1.5.1 (from steam)

    I think I was able to read it in RPG Maker MV Beta 1.6.0 (from steam). But that version disappeared on my computer, off to see how to get it there again.

    Update: It's downloading now ...

    Ok here, it is, once you update to RPG Maker MV Beta 1.6.0
    • Help -> Contents
    • Click on EULA
    • Then go past the Japenese license, the English one is below it.
    NOTE: If your browser is misconfigured, it won't bring up Help -> Contents (and no error message), so configure your browser properly if this happens.

    NOTE: The above doesn't work in RPG Maker MV 1.5.1, as the file is missing.

    NOTE: The EULA is actually at least three different licenses, to at least three different parts of the software. You really have to know how to read EULA's to understand it -- and it is easy to get confused if this is your first time reading an EULA. A rough breakdown of three different parts of the software would be:
    1. RPG Maker MV, Beta 1.6.0
    2. The *GAME* it produces;
    3. The Assets that are included in the *GAME* it produces.
    Make sure not to confuse which part of the EULA applies to which of the three above.
