RPG Maker MV suddenly crashes a Splash Screen [windows 10]

BroCoG. has run into a snag - my brother and I work together to make games, but suddenly his version of RPG Maker MV just isn't working - it crashes at the splash screen - I have heard this used to happen, but all the posts I saw were from 2015 AND he never had this problem before.

Just checking as we need a bit more information - what exactly was the error message that was received? Do you have the standalone version or the Steam version?

Do you mean the splash screen when loading MV, or when test playing a game?

Standalone and just that it's stopped working and is closing. (And it's the splash screen for the editor itself, not for test playing games)

Update: He tried uninstalling and then reinstalling RPG Maker MV and it didn't fix the issue...

Hey, the problem still isn't fixed (kinda hoping it would fix itself in all honesty). If anyone can help it would be awesome.
