The single cell can have any size you want, it just needs the correct number of cells on the total sheet.

Sideview battlers have 9x6 cells, so if you want the single battler to have a size of (for example) 50x10 pixels, then the SV-sheet needs a size of 450x60 pixels.

The same applies to regular spritesheets as well - multiply any single size for a cell with the number of needed cells to get the total sheet size.

I just wanted to add this to the guidelines,

this is how MV's windowskin behave differently from Ace.

So if you are trying to create a custom windowskin, you should make the middle part a solid line or something that is okay to be stretched.

Super duper helpful! Once I get my computer breathing again (CLEAR. BZZT.) I'll be trying to make everything myself in preparation for when I buy MV in March. RIP Ceroshiro, died by pixel editing.

no - because tilesets don't work that way.

There are six different tilesheet formats, one each for A1 to A5 and the sixth for B-E slots. They are described in the help file, because you need to know what kind of tiles to place where - especially the different sizes of autotiles.

If you mean the character set that holds the walking animations outside of battle.

The Dimensions for a 1x1 Single Character is 192x192

The Dimension for a 3x2 full character set is 576x384

Yes, I mean the character you walk around as. I don't see a template? I'm just asking if one has been made.

Um, I started checking the website for folders and even my game maker. Did you mean inside the folder with the .rar file you provided?

There is a Folder in the MV installation called Generator.

That's where you will find the template you need for the walking animation.. I believe it's in the TV folder

Ah! I was looking in the wrong folder. Regardless, I found the Tv folder but that's not what I am even asking about?

I was really hoping for a template with the squares to draw sprites onto. :(

I would like to draw charsets and I haven't found a template so far.

there might be one floating around by now.

But it might be easier to edit a copy of one the generator templates and just use the grid system in said editor to help make separation lines to edit the picture with.
