I'm using Windows 10 and today just dont run the aplicative. I already used MV before, but just today dont run the app. 


I already try desinstaling; check files; delete local content; run with windows 7 mode; run with administrator and nothing

Is anyone else getting graphical errors after updating to 1.31? I am getting several issues (only during gameplay, not in the editor)


- Map tiles that have transparency will glitch around the edges - especially present after transitioning from one map to another


- Text written in the choices dialog box will glitch and look torn - especially with 3 or more choices available


I've attached an image for an example. This issue has only been present since the 1.31 update. I've tried the project on different PCs and enabled/disabled all plugins, to no effect. Have also updated all my graphics drivers.

RPG Maker MV still has MASSIVE Memory issues. (STEAM Version, yes updated to 1.3.1, virtually 0 parallax and 0 parallel processes, mostly small maps, mostly just Yanfly's scripts)


After 1 hr of play the browser version (Chrome) bloated to 6GB, I shut it down because it was lagging like crazy.


After 2 hr and 30 min of play the Mac standalone version bloated to 2.34 GB and showed no signs of stopping. I shut it down because it was starting to lag.


Am I being unreasonable? Asking too much from MV?


When is the next big update? Please? 1.3.2?

@KillerGin That is nothing new, and the fix for the final memory leak already exists - but the update containing it officially has not yet been released.

No problem, I just hope the fix has also kept the Android Version in mind. The engine is advertised to make games work on Android and so far it has failed spectacularly because of the memory leak. The true success of the "fix" should be determined by whether or not the engine can have a game (not a super small demo) work on android because if it can work on a limited mobile device (which, again, the engine advertises it can) then it should work perfectly fine on a PC or a Mac.

I think there's a step missing in the upgrade process listed above. When I upgraded from 1.1 to 1.3.1 via the steps on the front page, the game would always hang on playtesting. However, if I made a new project then copied over all my files to the new project, it ran fine. Weird. Any idea what might have caused this? Or was it not meant to go from 1.1 to 1.3.1?


And yes, before anyone asks, I copied the .js files over to update them from Newdata, as stated on the front page.

Hey everyone, the latest version of RPG Maker MV is here!


We would like to remind everyone to make sure to do the following steps before updating to ensure that when the update happens so your changes won’t be overwritten:


- Make a backup of your project.- Make a backup of your Generator folder if you edited it. If you already upgraded from 1.2.0 this is unnecessary.


- If you have an old project that needs updating, Create a new project or go to the NewData folder in your RPG Maker MV root folder. Copy the new js (including libs folder but don't copy plugins.js) and index.html files to your current project!


- Replace BGM files if you got it from 1.3.0.


If you did this correctly, it should look like this:

I did this correctly, and my game functions fine. Except one problem in the battle system i'm having. For some reason, a little... black square appears in the top right corner of the enemy sprite. Any idea why this happens?

@WiiPwayAllNite That has nothing to do with the update, that is because you made a mistake when editing your iconsheet - the first icon has to be transparent
Additionally, this topic is an old update topic - current version is 1.4.0

My first Icon is transparent, and I checked if this was due to a plugin by turning all of them off, and it isn't.

then make a new topic with screenshots of the problem, and make sure that your project and all its plugins are updated to the latest versions

made a face sprite for the little guy using default cat for comparison, I'm rather pleased with how it turned out!

Playing arounnd with NUUN's Battle Result as a VS Victory Aftermath alternative. Loving it so far despite the learning curve (there are a LOT of parameters)
