    little bug when deployment game with v1.6>
    not able to use chromium console for debug final version of a game compiled!
    how to replicate
    • 1:deploy a new empty project for window
    • 2: call the console: example require('nw.gui').Window.get().showDevTools();
    the console open with white box only.

    I can not deep check because, i don have console for debug !

    it is rather a critical bug, if other people can confirm?

    Helloww, just a crashing bug reporting here! :3

    I'm having a problem while deploying my full project (many plugins but worked fine before) transferred to 1.6.1 beta version for net browsers.

    On Firefox (latest version) it gives me :
    TypeError
    a is null

    @Galv
    This happens with Galv's credit rolls :

    On Chrome :
    It doesn't work either but it throws up something else (it can not load an existing encrypted image within a non-default folder)

    Actually I am quite shocked, it works well on Edge while I do not use his browser at all usually.

    Edit :
    It works on playtest but for some reason the playtest is locked at 30FPS (while on the HTML file it runs smoothly at 60 FPS)

    I am quite disappointed with the 1.6.1 actually (well the 1.6.0 broke completely my project while there is still hope with this update it is still not good enough. Please, do not rush it!!)

    In the new NWJS you need to use the debug one for the final deployment if you want to see the console. This is not a bug.

    thanks for your answer, but sorry i do not understand, can you give more details?
    I tried everything, even replacing nwjs files by the one in folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\KADOKAWA\RPGMV\nwjs-win
    and i also try to download a new one https://nwjs.io/ and replace it.

    @Jonforum use nwjs-win-test folder to deployment(in C:\Program Files (x86)\KADOKAWA\RPGMV\), rename it to nwjs-win, but replace package.json there from original nwjs-win folder.

    @csevans84 , did you copy the package.json file to the project's folder? It's on MV's NewData folder.

    I have a bugg in the battle where I create events where in the middle of it the character is forced to attack someone, after that the event should continue, but the game is giving Zoom in and the event does not continue to work.

    RPG Maker MV 1.6.1

    It's a suggestion, the deployment for Windows include the most recent version of nwjs. But, since older versions the deployment of RPG Maker MV, include unnecessary archives with the nwjs. Making the game size bigger.

    My suggestion is exclude these archives or makes them like DLC, downloadable separately.


    The archives are:

    - pdf.dll ( 11.9MB )
    Is it to make it possible to see pdfs in the game window?
    For me this is unnecessary, 90% of games don't do that.

    - Folder: locale ( 34.1MB )
    I'm not sure what this folder is used for. However, I tested and deleted almost all languages and only kept one (en-US) and it worked the same way ...
    I don't think we need to keep all.

    With the removal of pdf.dll (11.9M) and removal of much of the contents of the locale folder (33.5MB, discounting the en-US language). It would reduce the weight of a game by almost 50MB.

    For me, this is very high size spent on content that isn't used.

    I advise you rather to overload a project with useless files.
    Skip if you want to make it easier job for a thief and hacker.
    And the dll are mostly drivers to use to avoid as much problem as possible.

    @bighoncho , you'll need to copy that file from the NewData folder (found on the engine's installation folder. If you can't find that, create a new project and copy the file from there.

    Thanks for replying. I still couldn't find package.json. But package.json appear after I try to deploy the game.

    I am not trying to deploy the game. I am trying to upgrade my current 1.5.2 project to 1.6.1, I read it says replay package.json and rpg_core.js to upgrade to 1.6.1

    Make a new RMMV project. Check that project's folder. There's going to be a package.json

    Copy that instead since you seem to be having problems navigating RMMV's root folder.

    hi @Archeia I have a very strange issue with the Pointer Lock API.
    I say strange because when i test empty project with pointer lock, the mouse is bugged.
    It will jump at random position if we move it!?

    So I suspected a problem with the current chromium version.
    But to my great surprise, when I published the project, the problem was fixed itself and all worked well!

    So I thought the problem was from the test-win folder.
    C\Program Files (x86)\KADOKAWA\RPGMV\nwjs-win-test
    So I also copy paste all files from this folder to the published folder just for comfirm, but no issue!

    I find it a bit illogical, but could it be the software RMMV that is causing this problem?
    I take time to made you a fast video for help you understand and shows you the issue.
    You can see the bug with rmmv , the mouse become very weird if we move it!


    The code source i use, you will can test it very fast, copy paste this in your console.
    It will lock your mouse and replace it with a white circle.
