Using multiple monitors is awesome!!! I just added a third screen during shut-down. Despite getting a great deal, I had a brief moment of "buyer's remorse"... that quickly faded after getting it set up.I'd love this with my multi-monitor setup. Database on one screen, map editor on another. Shame the answer was a no
Thats the main reason on I wan't it, I posted a whole thing on it when they put up the forum sections for user input on features people wanted. being able to work in more than one area of your project at a time. Realistically you cannot literally use both sections simultaneously but being able to view the database for reference while working on maps, or having the plugin menu open while working on the database, so you can reference the plugin help when creating note tags for skills/items/whatever. Just not being locked into single spaces would be nice. As it stands I use 3 monitors usually, It would be nice to not have a onenote notebook open just for making copies of plugin help lol. And instead just have the plugins themselves open there. I'm also the kind of multitasker that uses 2 machines at once most of the time. I am the bane of my landlords electrical bill. >I'd love this with my multi-monitor setup. Database on one screen, map editor on another. Shame the answer was a no
LolI am the bane of my landlords electrical bill.
As it stands that's kinda how I get around it, I use dual instances. I keep a blank map open on one version, and use the database editor there. On the other I work on the maps. Before shutting down I close the database and open it in the other instance to confirm changes have been made properly. Also keeping a backup of the projects database is essential. As that's the part that would be likely to mess up if anything.Lol
I have an idea but it's a dangerous one. I can open two instances of the program, work in both, then paste maps to the instance where I've been editing the database. One wrong move and I'd be starting over though. Yikes, maybe not.
I wonder if there's a way to make a separate database tool that could be added like the tileset and window builders. I've even seen a separate generator program. Oh man, I need to go to bed! The wheels are definitely spinning though.
Awesome. Waiting to get this on the RPGMaker Store because I really don't like using Steam for RPG Maker. Mostly because I have to login to Steam to use it, and that makes my life difficult if my brother is using my library to play a game. We're working on adding it to the RMW store right now. If you would prefer to purchase through the RMW store and want the bundle, just hold off for the moment. We should have it up before preorder period ends.
We're trying to get more preview images of all the packs up, but we're all kind of working around the clock.
The person who handles that just got back in so I'm going to ask them about itAwesome. Waiting to get this on the RPGMaker Store because I really don't like using Steam for RPG Maker.
