This. There are more resources, but it still takes up way less size. The pngs are more optimized, the battle animations take up WAAAAY less space than the old sprite sheets, and not having to have duplicate files for audio. The amount of resources can still be bigger than MV's even if the whole resource size is lower.
M4A audio files were used for mobile export. I think they said now OGG works for that too, but I can't really say what's the technical reason.
@Touchfuzzy -- any information on this? I don't believe I recall seeing it answered. Thank you for your time.It reads as the Trinity Pack can be picked up on August 20th as a stand-alone DLC; what price is it, and is it going to be on sale? (On sale for all, or only for MV users, or what prices?)
(*Fast Edit: will it be offered in a pack for MZ + Trinity Pack, just those 2, for those who don't want giant bundles with 5 packs)
@Aesica, you might be interested in checking out the TAB project in my signature.I don't mind partial chibis, like the Dark Fantasy "tall" character style. In fact, I think it looks great and still captures that oldschool FF nostalgia. The standard-sized RM chibis though? They're too squat and as such, much of the details for their clothing, motions, etc is lost because of that. They're like all head.
Since MZ didn't move on from that atrocious style, I guess I just have to hope that the next RM after MZ finally does. They're easily replaceable though, so at least we have that.
I didn't say you specifically were dishonorable, I said the actions of not providing a bundle that has RMMZ and Trinity is dishonorable [in regards to customer consideration]. It's basically trying to pigeon-hole potential customers into buying a bundle that includes 4-6 things, which many customers simply wouldn't want. It's why I specifically asked, "will it be offered in a pack for MZ + Trinity Pack, just those 2, for those who don't want giant bundles with 5 packs".

Touchfuzzy: "I answered it earlier" ...
Touchfuzzy: And there is a bundle?
If I'm wrong about what I presented, I am going blind then. I will stand in full humility, if there is a bundle on steam, as requested, offering only RMMZ + Trinity Resource pack, that I simply don't see. Screenshot it please, so that I can immediately apologize, as nothing would make me happier than being in the wrong and coming to full humility to apologize to a respectable staff member.
Your position is that I'm wrong about most of it, yet the information I presented is correct, on steam. So, paragraph 1 of 3 is correct.-- I was checking in regards to steam, as it said "N/A" under the DLC section for Trinity. I just now realized that once you click into the bundles themselves, it does list a price on steam for Trinity Pack: $34.99.
Your position is that I'm wrong about most of it, yet the information I presented is correct, on steam. There's no pack specifically for MZ + Trinity. The cost is also over 50% of the engine itself, as I specifically stated. So, paragraph 2 of 3 is correct. Why not give the purchaser an incentive if they want this pack? This pack costs over 50% of what an RMMV buyer pays for the MZ engine itself. There's no bundle offering RMMZ and Trinity on the steam store; that seems highly dishonorable in regards to customer-consideration.
Your position is that I'm wrong about most of it, yet the information I presented is correct, on steam. There's no mention to the customer whether or not someone who owns RMMV will receive a 20% (10%+10%) discount, up until the date of August 27th. You can't pre-purchase something after it's already released; it's simply a purchase at that point. But the store lists a sale date up to August 27th, and it does not tell the customer whether that's for owning MV, or for buying ('pre-ordering') MZ, or both. I would argue, paragraph 3 of 3 is, also, correct. Yet your position is that most of what I have present is wrong. Most means the majority. If I am wrong, please point it out so I can apologize immediately. Don't just tell me I'm wrong because you disagree with me, show me where I'm wrong. I wish you well, respectable staff member.Steam also lists the pre-purchase Promotion pricing (that's a lotta p's) up until August 27th. It makes zero mention if the MV discount is permanent or time-specific, as well as if someone gets the 10% discount by 'pre-purchasing' MZ after MZ releases (because it specifically reads as 'Special Promotion -- ends August 27th'). Pre-purchasing a game that's already released is a weird way of wording things for that 'Special Promotion -- ends August 27th'.
