There is a bug with the passage of tilesets.

I'm building a prison so I'm using the top & the bottom of the prison wall ( default 0003 Inside_B ).

I want the hero to be really near the wall so I want to see him 1 layer behind the bottom prison gate part without being able to go under.

Parameters #1 :
- Passage (4 dir.) is set to TOP, RIGHT and LEFT only. (NO DOWN)
- Passage is set to "Passable under tile" because my player is suppose to be behind.

Unfortunately, with this configuration the player is able to pass through the wall without problem.

Parameter #2 :
- Passage (4 dir.) is set to TOP, RIGHT and LEFT only. (NO DOWN)
- Passage is set to "Passable" because my player is suppose to be behind.

Fortunately the player is blocked by the wall but unfortunately he his displayed 1 layer above the wall, so it does not make sens visually. (See image)

If you set a tile to star passage, it overrides directional passability. This is not a bug. A star means "ignore the settings on this tile and look at whatever is on the layer below", which in your case is the floor.

I do recall there was a way to address this in MV. (as a lot of people hated it) what was it again?

EDIT: Derp... Use layers.
Make a duplicate sheet with the tiles you need and place the normal bars on layer 2. place the duplicates on layer 4 (those can use stars lol) and presto. your prison bars should work as you wish!

In term of User experience I consider it as a bug since it override a parameter without letting me know it or even change the override parameter.

@Nekohime1989 thank you i'll try it.

Hi
Thanks for your review.
I was checking the trailer for details and as the woman shut the door at the exact moment the song I was hearing said "you slim the door" and I couldn't resist to add it there. :D And I used this idea one more time on another scene.
Just doing some tileset tinkering again...
