I made a review for this a long time ago. I gave it positive critique, but a down vote. The problem I had with this tool is that it doesn't let me pull more than one image to a tileset. I need to restart the program every time. Feels like an error that is similiar to a developed DDOS attack.

@MiBa I'm not sure I follow. What do you mean "pull more than one image to a tileset"?

I'm also not sure a comparison to a deliberate attack intended to knock services offline is warranted. Or accurate.

It doesn't let me drag more tiles to the tileset. I need to restart. If you have fixed it, then fine. I had to refund this to my steam wallet just because of this particular problem. And I wasn't happy about it.

You can't drag tiles at all. Choose the one you want to place, click to place it. This has never been a drag-and-drop application. Click to place tiles, right-click to remove them.

Yes, click to place. But only one at a time. You put one tile to the tileset, then you need to restart the program to add one more tile to the tileset. It's very frustrating. If it's fixed or if I did anything wrong I would buy it one more time.

I had to refund this to my steam wallet just because of this particular problem.
@taarna23 I think @MiBa confused this with a different program, because there is no "RPG Maker Tileset Builder" on steam at all, this program is a free download from the first post in this topic and you can't refund a free download, because you never paid anything at all for it...

Oh... Yes, Andar is right. This one's just a free tileset maker I made. Nothing at all for purchase or anywhere in the vicinity of Steam.

He means the Sarkan Tile set... Thats Still not working :(

We guessed - but this is not the topic for the sarkan tool, and if he (or anyone else) has a problem with that, they need to make a new topic for solving that problem. Because I also know that a lot of people have already used that tool, so it is not a general bug but something wrong on those specific computers.

Note: The old program had issues running on Windows 10 system that are not used for applications development. I will need feedback to determine if this issue still exists.

I'm using Windows 10 and I keep getting error messages :(

  • What kind of tileset were you attempting to create (Ace/MV)?
  • What was your source tileset? (XP/Ace/MV/Custom)?
  • Can you include a screenshot of the program with the tile you were trying to place when it crashed?

Yes, the highlighted piece is the one I was trying to place, but that doesn't seem to make a difference, as it happens with other pieces as well.
Here's another screenshot: the error message pops up whenever I try to place a piece outside the green area. Inside the green area, no problem.

@acirnep Interesting... Can you place default MV tiles in the area outside the green? I think I know what has happened here, but any bit of info you can provide is helpful!

You mean using RPG Maker MV as a resource pack, right? The same things happens, I can cover the same area (that is actually a bit wider than in the previous screenshot, as I accidentally discovered that I can place a tile to cover slightlly more than half of the sixth column)

I've just downloaded this, but having troubles using it.

In the folder manager, I am selecting the project folder for my game, and I've copied all the tilesets I want to use into the tilesets folder for that project.

After a short while (not doing anything), the program goes into 'not responding' for a bit, then gives me the error message: C:\GameDev\DAU\NewData\img\tilesets\\Dungeon_B.png

What I'm trying to do is use the tilesets I've already got in my project, to create new tileset images using just the tiles I'm interested in. The NewData folder reference makes me think it's not doing what I expect it to be doing - that it's expecting the location of my MV install and not the project I'm working on.
