Never finished a project, but I feel the game was worth the money.

Spent about 20-30 hours learning the basics of the software the other 200 hours I've put into my first project so far, which is like...10-15% completed?

Just gotta persevere and see this one through to the end. I SHALL finish my first project...eventually.

That being said, I have "only" 3660 hours on MV but I finished 3 short minigames in 2017.
Life got in the middle since then.

Hah, my hours look much better than they actually are.. These are mostly from leaving the engine open in the background, or using them to test characters/tiles/record videos instead of actually making games. I have no idea how long I've spent actually developing games, but I've only ever released one fully completed game.

For some reason, some people get very, very angry at me for having such high hours..

Wow... I can totally see how people would run up their hours like that! I get so sucked into making maps that I barely notice time going by and before I know it it's been several hours

It's probably from having access to MZ to make a sample game and then.. just.. never closing out of it.
