Earlier today I maxed out the cloud sync storage on steam for rpg maker, and it gave me a warning but the program still started up.

I've been trying the last two hours too get it started but now steam keeps crashing. I have to use task manager to close steam all together.

I tried removing some of the files that put my game file over the 500mb limit, still didn't work.
I tried disabling the cloud sync all together.

Still didn't work.

Tried restarting and that didn't work. Tried playing a differen't game and that game worked fine.

Not really sure what too try next.. Can anyone help me with this?

steam cloud for project storage has always been a problem with VXA, because the steam cloud was originally only intended for game saves which are much smaller than complete project saves.

and that resulted in the sync's taking too long and making it look as if the program crashed and other problems.

I don't have Ace installed any longer, but if I remember correctly there are two or three different places where you have to disable the cloud to really prevent that. And if the program no longer launches that is a problem because you can't access all of them.

Try the following:
disable your network connection before starting steam. when steam complains, put it in offline mode.
THEN try to start VXA, and if that works remove your projects from the cloud under project management

I tried disabling cloud all together and steam still crashes.

I just tried moving my game file, and opening rpgmaker, and the program opened up with no problem, but now when I try to open my game it crashes steam..

Could it be the file itself?

Before I move on from the cloud save, Is there a way too delete the cloud data completely through directories? I tried removing the project from project management, but my game wasn't in there.

I had to divorce my game from Steam cloud as I was hitting an issue where saves took 5+ minutes of the project. That is probably what you are running into. It will probably open *eventually* but you may need to give it 10 - 15 minutes if you maxed out the storage as it is trying to synch every single thing all at once and checking it.

I found moving all projects to a new directory did fix it for me, and disabling the cloud on the program. You did move the project file to something Steam has no clue exists right? It might be crashing as Steam found it and is trying to resynch it again. You may need to let it synch once (get a book out it will take a while and will appear to have crashed).

I finally got it!

I think I just had to completely delete the steam cloud data then restart my computer.

Not sure if that's what it was, but my troubles are over for now.

(Here's a pic of what I deleted, not completely sure if those are cloud data saves, but the file sizes calculated out to be the same as my cloud data save size.)

Thank you both for the help/messages.

finally got this scripted right lol... I was running into a few issues like getting the event to play when all enemies were ko'd, actors going in and out of their victory poses, etc... still need to tweak a bit tho.
Which version should I get? 2000, 2003, XP, VX, VX Ace, or MV. I'm a beginner and have no coding knowledge and also I wanna be able to add voices.
I'm just gonna remove the Dark Spells from my game. They wouldn't be fighting Gods or Angels. So why have it?
