RPG Maker XP, a little something I need help with.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. 

I had some experience with RPG Maker, cause I used it 5 years back. Then I only knew 2003 and XP, and I liked the style of 2003 better but Xp had far more options. Regardless of that I always had the opinion that most games of XP all looked alike. But I found a way to import 2003 resources to XP so this makes it a unique game. Hope I peeked your interest with this.

But regardless of the fact that I still know a bunch of the program, I still don't understand some things. One of thos things is, that I'm using Moghunters famous XAS and I want to trigger an event when I, lets say beaten 5 enemies called: ''Oozy Slimes'' Just look at it this way, killing the 5 monsters is a quest. Could be a sidequest or a main quest and in this case it's the latter. The story must continue and I want to trigger a text only after the 5 are defeated. I struggled with this for a while but now that I can't seem to figure it out I hope you guys can assist me. I know it has something to do with Variables but I just cannot seem to figure it out.

Ik geloof dat je dan iets moet doen van een variable creeren, bijvoorbeeld Monster. Als je de monster vermoord dan wordt variable Monster + 1, als Monster = 5 dan enable switch..

I tried this, Still nothing. I set the Variable to 0 before the battle. And in the monsters event page I set add variable + 1. It's a little confusing how to do this with Mog's Xas battle system cause it's real time battle. I don't know if anyone is familiar with this XAS but I create an event that is the enemy. I call it Enemy 2 so it recognizes his stats from the database.I set a move route and behaviour and in the events page on the right I set: Control variables 001:Slime + 1. Then on the event that made the story up to this point I make a conditional branch, if variable Slime is equal to 5. Then I put the switch under there and make a new page where THAT switch is turned on and make an autorun event where the story should continue but it doesn't work. I hope I explained it so it's understandable, and I hope someone who perhaps is a little familiar with Moghunter's XAS and Variables(I never understood the latter, very well:D) can help me with this issue.

I know there is something with a defeat switch for enemies but I think that's mostly used for a single enemy which is a Boss. But maybe it also has something to do with killing multiple enemies but at this moment I can't figure out how it works. Variables were alway a little confusing to me, altough I understand it a lot better than 5 years back when I also used RPG Maker.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
