RPG Maker XP cant connect to verification

HI there, back in 2014 a friend of mine bought me RPGmaker XP so I could help out with making maps for a game. Sadly the laptop I had the program on died, and after I built my new pc. I have tried to install RPGmaker XP, using the download on the website. Now whenever I use the activation code and email, I displays a page saying it cant connect to the internet. I have tried contacting support but have no response. Is there a way I can fix this without having to rely on either a new code, buying it from steam, or waiting the god aweful amount of time for tech support to get back to me?

Tech-support should answer within three business day at maximum (they don't work on weekends), but sometimes tickets get lost (and no one found out why yet). Your case has been forwarded and you should be contacted shortly.

I got in contact with support, and I responded with my Computer Key that they asked for. I am now waiting for them to respond back. I hope this wont take too long. Guess my thread has been answered, if I have  any more issues I will make another post.
