I downloaded RPG Maker XP tonight on 2 different Win XP computers and both giving me the same message when trying to create new projects or loading that same project. "Failed to load actor data" I loaded KNight-Blade Howling of Kerberos, so I know I can load other projects. What's this message coming from and how can it be fixed? I'm going to buy it, but if I can't create, the program is kinda useless. I know its not the computers since I'm getting the same message off of 2 computers.

What folder do you have RMXP installed in? What folder did you create your project in? Avoid any of the Windows folders - Program Files, for instance, is a place where you should NOT create your projects. Either create them in My Documents, or create a new folder on the C drive, and keep them completely separate from the Windows folders.

It's installed in it's recommended directory, along with the project folder, I'll try and move that and see if that makes any difference at all. That's where the computers placed them.

Joe

Just tested moving the project folders. Moved em under My Documents folder, and that repaired the issue. Not sure why that the program didn't like it under the same directory as the program, but atleast it's fixed. Thank you for the help.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
