I was looking at purchasing it but the samples all have points where it sounds terrible.  Just god awful.

http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/a/music/rpg-maker-xp-remastered-ost  (Case in point, Dungeon2 @ 0:36)

I read that they were "aware of the issue" and going to fix it but I'm not in the mood to buy it if they still sound like that.

*EDIT*  Crap, I accidentally posted this in the wrong spot.  Can a mod move it please?  Tabbed browsing be damned.

They acknowledged it, but they never did anything about it.  I believe because the person involved probably doesn't want to rework them.  It seems to me that the pack was quickly put together, which was a shame.  I've been making better versions on the side for my own personal use, but it won't go anywhere since I'm pretty sure I can't "impose" my works on the store version for various legal reasons.  I'll probably just end up giving a couple tracks here and there for free to folks that want them, as long as they own XP.

I guess we'll see if they ever revisit the issue.

As alternatives there's a couple remixes that Kairi (Blodeuyn) did.

Also I did re-arrangements of Battle 01 and Battle 02, both which can be found in May and June's ReStaff packs respectively.
I love your Battle 01 LODES!! better than both the XP RTP, and the remastered version (though in my opinion, the differences between the XP RTP and the remastered version, from what i can hear, are less than miniscule. I can tell there is a difference between them....but i cant exactly explain it....the remastered version....it sound....ummmmm...more....Computery?....I guess.)

Actually I spun a couple up with FFIV sound fonts and it sounds pretty awesome - though actually taking the time to do all the tracks, adjust, then loop is more painstaking than what I'm able to do.  I'm surprised the music pack got released 6 months ago and they haven't actually gotten around to correcting it yet; though still selling and advertising it.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
