This is a problem I've run into in multiple games, repeatedly, and have scoured the internet for a solution over and over to no avail. This time it's happened to a game that scrapping and starting over isn't a viable option.

These walls are supposed to be solid, but I can walk through them. Other events can walk through them as well. After looking this problem up to see if anyone else has dealt with it, no solution I've found seems to work; everyone else who has this problem has it as a result of some rookie mistake, and they find a way to fix it. The problem only happens on this one map and the maps connected to it, but not the world map that leads to it.

The tileset has these blocks set to solid. Passage (4 dir) isn't any different, either.

Explanations I found that haven't been the problem include:
-Placing a passable tile overtop the blocks. I checked to make sure this wasn't the case, and the only tile I used to erase was the one on the top-left.
-Using a roof tile instead of a wall tile. Again, not the problem, as those blocks are differentiated by a square in this tileset while these blocks clearly have an X.
-Having my characters' set to "through". This is not the case, as I don't have any events that give them this property, and the monsters can walk through walls too.

I tried copy/pasting the tileset to a different tileset slot and switching the map to that slot, and that didn't work. I tried making a copy of the map and using that one instead, and that didn't work either. I'm completely lost and the only option left seems to be to delete this map and start over completely. I hope it doesn't come to that, but if it does, it's better than just giving up on the project. I'd really hope to find some way to fix this.

Can you upload a demo? Or at the very least your map file

You have probably drawn on a higher layer with a tile that has O passability.

To confirm, open your tile sheet in a graphics editor, and take every tile that doesn't have a sprite, except the very first tile, and colour it in red. Then refresh it in the editor and see if all of those tiles where you can walk, but shouldn't be able to, are red. Use the highlight layers key (F4 I think?) and show each layer at a time. Where there are red tiles, and shouldn't be, use the very first tile to draw over them - that's the 'erase' tile and is the only one that should be used where there are "no" tiles drawn.

I tried this. That wasn't the problem.

Here's the map file.

I can't tell from your first post's wording, but are those walls always intangible in any map that uses that tileset? Is it only specifically this section of the map (in your screenshot) or the entire map?

Your map data looks fine, so I'm suspecting a script. What are you using?

It would probably be easier to be able to see the whole project.

I found out and fixed the problem. There was something wrong with the tileset, so I deleted the tileset and remade it. That solved whatever was wrong.

Odd, I copied your passage settings and saw nothing wrong on my end. And I verified there weren't any misplaced tiles. I wonder what it was.

So far as I can tell, it wasn't a glitch with my game so much as a glitch with RPG Maker XP itself. I could be wrong, but I couldn't find any difference between the bugged tileset and the fixed one, other than that one of them worked and one of them didn't.
