I made my own personal Autotile grids for those who need them to help making Autotiles. Thought I might share them since none has been made for MV! There is the 48x48 Grid and the blue 22x22 Grid for more details.

PLEASE though keep this in mind, the grids are 2 pixels wide (besides the very ends of the grid) so be sure when you start creating tiles you select the first pixel inside the box. It's so you have the correct places to edit in. This applies to both grids.

Here is an example if you're confused. The dark red is the white inside the
box next to it and the bright red on the edge is the black line. You must
select both.

I think you misunderstood what autotiles are.

There are six different tilesheet formats( five A# for autotiles and the format for B to E sheets), and the autotiles can have different sizes from 96x96 pixels to 288x144 pixels depending on which autotilesheet you use.

Absolutely no autotile has a 48x48 pixel grid - that is the grid for the upper layer (B to E) tilesheets only.

And for the B to E sheets, your structure simply doesn't fit - because those sheets are limited to 16x16 tiles of 48x48 pixel each.

I made these for the img files in the new RPG game folder, inside the tilesets folder I made this for the A1 and A2 files mostly. I guess I still have to learn more though. I am quite new to this and thought I had a pretty good idea about what Autotilesets are and how they work. Now I'm more confused than ever.

Check the help file for resources, they descibe the different positions of the tiles on the tilesheets.

Besides - using a picture grid for tiling is a bad idea, because you risk forgetting to remove the pixels before using the tilesheet.

Most people use the guides or the grid of programs like photoshop or GIMP - those guides can autosnap the cursor and are never visible in the picture itself.

That is the reason why you don't see any such pixelgrid pictures around the forums anymore - it's a lot better to setup the grid in the image program and not in the image itself.

Edit:

I attached the picture from the help file for the A1 tilesheet.

Each of the red borders surrounds a single autotile - and there are autotiles of different sizes mixed in this sheet.

And the different letters are there to help describe the different properties of those autotiles, because even autotiles in the same size can have different properties...

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
