RPG MV Rules on own Games?

Hi,

i playing with thought of getting a RPG Maker version. Some friend already make games suggested to get MV instead of AC because newer but they also said that with MV i would not allowed to sell my Games?

But on here i found no info support this?

1. So if i make a game with only resources included in RPG Maker MV or own made resources (Pics Music and so on) i am clear to sell the Game? (No external copyright conflicts..)

if 1 is no; What criteria be needed to be allowed to sell my games?

if 1 is Yes; Are there any restriction? Like not allowed to make adult content, erotically or brutal scenes not made for young audience? Not allowed to have religious or anti religious content? Or will be the Usual Warning on the open be enough?


I am planing to do a few games only a few of them would have adult content ;-)


2. Do i need to pay a partial to you? if i earn anything with my games?

3. Am i restricted to you sop to sell and buy stuff for RPG maker MV? Finished Games, Resources?



I was looking a long time for Exact answers but i didn't fin them maybe i was looking on wrong areas....

So i hope someone help me?

1. Yes you can sell games made with MV. No restrictions as to what you can make or sell, but there are restrictions as to what can be posted on this forum. Maybe that is the confusion?

2. No, you just need to buy the engine.

3. I'm not sure what you are trying to ask here.

3) no, you can sell anywhere and are not restricted to the shop on this Website.
On the contrary most games are sold else where.

What might have been the cause of the confusion is that if you're using shop-purchased resources you can only distribute the game as long as it is encrypted. And the internal encryption of MV was only added with 1.2 or so, requiring you to use external encryption if using shop resources with older versions.
