Hi!

I'm been arround playing a lot of rpgs and I thought it was time to make one of my own, so i got the trial version of the VX Ace,because I'm willing to upgrade it.

I'd like to know if there's a diference between the trial version and the full paid one, i found many features blocked or i think so they are... and i'd like to know if there's this kind of block (don't get me wrong it's just to know) lot's of black-blue squares. So I started wondering about it.

Even though the trial version is just AWSOME.

Thank you in advance.

Um.. Can you post a screenshot to illustrate what you mean exactly because I'm confused about what you mean..

Edit:

Although I assume you mean the boxes that is the default for showing the transparency when you refer to the black-blue boxes, I'm a little confused about where you mean exactly buy the "char section"..

Those aren't empty slots; those are a patterned background that shows transparency. You can actually change the color of this under Tools > Options.

Excuse me, i didn't check what exactly were the transparency thingy... eh... anyways wasn't exactly black.. my bad...

But on the other hand in the character section/sprites sorry i didn't explain myself correctly...

pre-made sprites allready ingame w/e (right side)

sprites generated by a character i created with the generator tool (right side)

So i thought that the generator could create all sprites for a "homemade characte" that's why i started wondering if there was a diference between the trial and the full paid version...

sorry

thank you very much

Besides i'm also experiencing this trouble with the tiles...

i'm following the tutorials found here and

http://www.rpgmakerw...pg-maker-vx-ace

I see the tiles been places on top of the other blocking the adjacent tile and make it look bad...

I know i'm starting it but i can't understand why it doesn't work like in the tutorial...

thank you in advance.

You should avoid double (or triple) posting. If you need to make a new post; you can always edit your other post.

When you use autotiles; you can hold the SHIFT button to avoid some edging errors. Play around with it until you get a feel for how it works. This should help you with most autotile problems.

Other than, you're out of luck. Unfortunately, a lot of the RTP (default) tile graphics are just poorly-made and do not line up nicely.

There is also the option of altering how your map works to fit what can be done with the RTP. Ask less "How do I make this look like what's in my head?" and ask more "How can I find a mid-point between what's possible and what I want to see?" You'll likely be surprisingly pleased with the result. =)

Flipe, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

Also, please try to keep your support thread concerning your initial problem or follow up problem related to the first questions, Flipe. It is to keep the support threads clean and easy to search, in case someone else needs to later find an answer to the same question.

Please use report button next time frieza.

Now, if I understood correct, your tileset is behaving different than in the tutorial? I recommend you check the mode of the tileset you are using from the tileset tab in the database. Try out a bit different modes and see, if the tileset behaves as in tutorial with another mode on. Make also sure you use same tiles. As not all tiles are meant to be used in every mode. :3

There's a bit more explained of the differences of tileset modes in this thread.

RMMV
You are already using the complete version though, it'll just stop functioning after 30 days, that's why it's called a trial :)

Either way, closing this.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
