Rpgmaker 2003 activation and VX ace trial mix up!

Hi,
I bought RpgMaker 2003 from the rpgmakerweb site on March 3, 2017.

I received an email with my order and the Product Key, but I was unable to activate the program.

I kept getting a: "Resource not found" message when I tried activating it.
Also, every time I opened RpgMaker2k3 I got the following message:

"You have X days left of your free 20 day trial"
I had the option to press "CONTINUE" without activation which enabled me to use the program... for 20 days.
The message was weird because I had not downloaded a Trial version. I had purchased the entire program.
I clicked on the "BUY" Option, to test the link, and it took me to the RPGmaker-VX Ace page on rpgmakerweb.com

I sent a message to tech support but haven't received an answer yet. Maybe it's too soon.
How long does it take them to respond on average?

Anyway... after the 20 days passed, the message has now changed to "Your free trial of RPG Maker VX Ace has expired".
Why is VX Ace mentioned?
And again the "buy" button goes to the VX Ace page on rpgmakerweb.com.

But now there's no "CONTINUE" and I can't access RPGMaker2003 at all.

Can anyone help with this? Thanks.

Please give a link to where you got the trial - most likely it is a pirated japanese version, because there is no english trial for RM2K3 at all.

The key you purchased from this site is a steam key, and you need to activate the product on steam with it - that key cannot activate the japanese trial. So you can simply deinstall that trial (doesn't matter who pirated it) and install steam and activate RM2K3 on steam.

But we would really like to know where you got that trial from to solve that problem, because this is the second time that I heard about this...

I bought it from this official website for 19.99 USD

It runs in English. I did not buy a trial. It was supposed to be the full version of Rpgm2k3.

It seems to me there is a problem with the download link and they're selling a trial instead of the whole version.

But I'll try the Steam activation as you mentioned. Thanks!

@starlight dream I did not ask where you bought it - that was clear from the very beginning.
I asked for the download link and where you downloaded the trial from, because that is the problem.

To be clear: I never downloaded any trial, from anywhere.

I ONLY bought the full program and got a download link from rpgmakerweb.com via e-mail & on my account page here:

But once I installed it on my computer, and tried using it, I received the "trial message".
The problem is with the program I bought from rpgmakerweb.com

OK, in that case please send a support ticket through the support option on top of the website if you haven't done so already, it might be that something went wrong with your purchase and we moderators in the forum have no access to the sale database.

Were you able to activate the steam version with the key?

And just for your info: all downloads from the shop are the trials to be activated into the full version by the key, but something went wrong with your key. And since there is no link to a 2K3 trial at all in the trial area, I didn't know that there now is an official trial for that program.

I tried activating with Steam but got a " Invalid Product Code".
Ah well... at least I have Steam now. That's good.

I'll send a support ticket and I'll post here any solution they might give me.
