Hi, I have young kids who love to play games.

I know we should accept that basically games of this genre will involve violence, death, complicated language, insane puzzles, possibly swearing and usually a lot of cleavage: so a 'Parental Guidance' is assumed for everything you can download.

But are there games created by the fans that are just great clean fun: can anyone thing of where I could source such a list - or perhaps the great and the good could list such games? And ideally ones that are good too.

I think its gore, sex and swearing are definite no-nos, but don't underestimate kids: stories of morality, death, intrigue and 'killing lots of monsters' can still be enjoyed by young-players.

As a gauge, my son is 7 and has been playing old roms of Pokemon Red and now enjoying Final Fantasy Mystic Quest [yes, start them on the classics] - but these do have a lot of tricky puzzles and a lot of dialogue,

thanks for your time.

I don't know of any on here, but games like Undertale, Roblox and minecraft are all good for young children.

If kids haven't changed since I was kid and if they are boys, by the time around 13-14, they might be courteous around you, but with their friends they'll be foul-mouthing and telling toilet jokes, ect. It's just so amusing to them. Kids will be kids.

The only thing that made me think of this, is your thread, and the fact that I was just outside and I overheard some boys walking down the sidewalk, giggling and dropping f-bombs; not sure what they were talking about. Will they grow out of it? Some do.

Well language is the main issue, knowing full well I was a foul-mouthed kid - so understand that boys will swear as looking big is vvery important when you are small :) I've vetted my own game at least: no swearing, no nudity and no blood. There is a bit of reading to do and as well as puzzles there is monster-bashing, but I think to an extent, those are unavoidable. Still, thanks for the feedback...

...and on that: have added a new feature to my own game: you can choose two powerful PCs to play the game with at the start, sort of like a trainer-cheat: wanted to enable younger players access to my game. This means no blood, no nudity , no swearing - an dcombat shoudl now be forgiving if these characters picked. [still require strategy, and they can still die, etc...]

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
