Cross-posting this here from my Reddit thread on the matter. As per the NW.js license;

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions:

The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.
Yet there's nothing in the EULA (Which is just LGPL 2.1 with some annotations), no loose license agreements, and nothing distributed with the deployed games.

In what way is it being broken?  You're saying the copyright notice you quoted needs to be included somewhere, and it isn't?

Where are we using NW.js?

Precisely that. I don't immediately suspect foul play, just an oversight.

Yeah he/she posted on reddit suggested post it here. Better be safe then sorry if a small license was missing could cause headaches down the road. Not that it's the end the world but clearly you would want to fix it up if there is a need to fix it up.

I've asked someone to look into it, but I don't see where we're even using NW.js - don't see that we should follow a license for something we're not using.  Obviously I'm not looking in the right place.  But I did report the thread so the guys upstairs would be able to check it out asap.

They are referring to the MIT license that nw.js, node.js, and Pixi.js use, but aren't quite correct in how it has to be used/presented. It doesn't belong in the EULA, but usually with the software it applies to. For example, the pixi.js file in "NewData\js\libs" contains the license for Pixi.js and complies with the MIT license. Ripping the license notice out of that file and still using it would go against the license.

I did a quick search of the nwjs-win folders in the MV program files and there does appear to be no mention of the MIT license. It could just be put somewhere in a file like with Pixi.js.

ah, of course, that's where it is.  Okay, I've passed the info along.

Thank you for checking and raising the issue.

It's under the "nwjs-osx" and "nwjs-win" directories under the main install directory. I only noticed it after recognizing "nw.pak" in a deployment test, as I've worked with it quite a bit.

Just doing my part, thanks for dealing with it so swiftly :p

I have placed this in KDKW's attention and whatever files necessary. Thank you for putting it into our attention. :)

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
