So I've been working on a small RPG game for a while now and because it is a short game, I don't want the main character to be able to reach level 99 due to the length of the game. I'd like to be able to set the actors max level to be 20. However I'm having an issue achieving this.

I go into the Actor's tab and select the main character. From this, I see the Max Level box is already at 99 by default and so I lowered it to 20 as I would like it. However my problem is that even after I hit apply and close the database box. Upon re-opening it and going back into the Actors tab, the main character's max level is for some reason automatically set back to being 99. I was wondering if anyone knew of a solution to this?  I'd would very much appreciate any help. :)

I just tested it myself - no problem, max level 20 is saved and loaded.

This means the problem is at your computer only, and we need to find out why it isn't saved,

1) can you give us the full path to your project? MV requires its paths to conform to networking rules, and if the path to your project folder contains non-latin letters or special symbols (including spaces), that will cause problems on saving.

2) can you tell us which version of the editor you have installed? 1.0 or 1.3.1, steam or standalone?

3) please check if a cloud service or backup or antivirus protected your project folder from saving correctly.

The full path to the project is: D:\RPGMV\Games\Project1
(I like having it all on a second drive since my C: drive doesn't have a lot of space compared to my D: drive.)

I'm using standalone 1.3.1 and I don't seem to have any sort of cloud service, backup or antivirus that might have protected the project folder.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
