RPGMV Verification Account and Steam.

Greetings.

Yesterday I bought RPG Maker MV (through rpg maker web site) and I had some troubles trying to verify my account with the verification code I received on email. I've been researching and I found out that other people had this problem as well. I sent a ticket but I didn't receive any answer yet. Now, what I tried today, because I didn't think about it before, is, first, I did uninstall the game and, second, I wrote the key on Steam. Now the product appears in my software library and when I tried to run it, the verification account interface doesn't appear anymore. So, here is my question.

Can I assume I verified my account by installing and running RPGMV through Steam? I wouldn't like to find that I run out a supposed free trial after the free trial days. (I had some troubles in the past with similar situations and that makes me a little paranoid).

Also, I wanted to write this thread because If some people have the same issue trying to activate their accounts and this solve the problem... Well, if it helps, it helps.

You are unlikely to get a reply from Support on a Saturday, as it is only open on working days, and weekends don't count. That will be why you have not had an answer.

The Steam version and the stand alone version are quite separate, though one key activates both, which is why your Steam version is running.
You will need to input the activation code for the standalone version as well. Try reinstalling it and tell us what happens when you try and input the code.

Thank you for your quick answer. I imagined the weekend had something to do with their answer. No problem at all. I just wrote it to fully describe the situation. I did what you told me. I'll try to be as precise as possible.

I uninstalled it from Steam and installed the standalone version.

1st try) It appears a window: RPG Maker MV with the text: 'You have 19 days left [...]' and below that a place to enter the Email Address and the Product Key, followed by the buttons -activate; buy now; and continue-. On the bottom there is an offline manual unlock option.
When I enter my email and product key and press 'Activate' it appears another window that informs that the software cannot show a web site. I suspect it has something to do with the DNS, which I read something about it but don't fully understand how it works / solve it.

2nd try) If I press 'Offline Manual Unlock' I have another window with the text: 'If you encounter problems with online activation [...] (customer support link). It appears as well my computer ID just before the place where I can write my email address followed by the place to write the unlock code and, finally, the buttons -unlock and cancel-.
When I enter my email and code a windows pops up with the text: 'The name/code you entered does not appear to be valid. Please try again.

Check your computers internet options for TLS options.
most current windows versions have some of the TLS deactivated by default, but those options are needed by the DRM to contact Degica's servers.

If TLS is active and you still have problems, then most likely your internet provider blocks some ports and you need to wait until degica support answers with the manual activation option.

by the way, you can have both standalone and steam installed on the same computer, no need to deinstall from steam before installing the standalone. I use this to have the program available in two languages (German standalone and Steam set to English)

Oh, you actually solved me 2 problems today! ^^, I appreciate your help. I was able to activate my license. It was as you said, I had deactivated my TLS.

Problem solved.

Is there anything I should do to cancel the ticket I sent to the support? Maybe another email to inform everything is ok now?

Another email telling them everything is okay now would be fine.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
