[RPGMVXAce] Guaranteed Crash on Startup

After a seven-hour binge of Jimmy & the Pulsating Mass and rebooting my computer, I've found that all RPGMVXA-based games on my computer now refuse to run. Instead, I end up receiving a black screen followed by the game crashing a few seconds later.

Thus far, I've tried the following with no change in results:

• Restarting my computer
• Uninstalling RPGMaker VX Ace's RTP and reinstalling
• Deleting the Enterbrain registry folder using regedit
• Adding Game.exe to the Data Execution Prevention (attempted for multiple games, no success on any)
• Adding Game.exe to my firewall and antivirus whitelists
  
• Loading an RPGMVXA game from a different hard drive
• Loading an RPGMVXA game based on a different language
• Loading a game using mkxp

Using mkxp-console, I can force the game to start up. The game runs fine, but the save system is completely borked. It won't recognize any save files I have in the directory, won't allow saving files, and hangs for a while attempting to load the save screen. Attempting to enter fullscreen mode has the same effect.



Has anyone else had this issue? My current system locale is Japanese, but this hadn't changed from before I started playing Jimmy & the Pulsating Mass.
