SUMMARY
A Double D (not to be confused with a Tripple A) remake of an older game of mine, this time RTS Style.
Join forces with the "United International Yuletariat" or "Holy American Empire" to secure "Happy Holidays" or a "Merry Christmas".
Build a Base, employ Workers to collect “Candy Cane” & “Eggnog” or “Body of Christ” & “Blood of Christ” and use those Resources to create additional Buildings and recruit Soldiers to wage the War on Christmas.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

The year is 20XX.

It's almost winter solstice again and the entire world prepares to celebrate the Happy Holidays.
Well, not entirely... One godly nation of meek Christians still holds out against the heathens.
And life is not easy for the evil communists occupying the bordering nations.

While Santa Karl and his helpers prepare, to spread joy and gayness with their annual present bombardment, High Priest O'Reilly and his followers get ready, to repel the attack and strike back at the heart of their enemy.

Join the Forces of God, in a selfless struggle to keep the Christ in Christmas or lead the Army of Darkness, in a mad attempt to celebrate Happy Holidays.

The fate of the Holy Night is in your hands.

It is now possible to recruit new units and unlock additional units through research:
(Building buildings got an overhaul too and buildings are now gradually unlocked.
The order of unlocks is:
Base -> Tent & Barracks -> Airfield and Laboratory -> Altar
Won't make a new video just for that right now though)

Thanks to the "RPG Maker 29th Birthday: Release Something Event" the Tech-Demo got released a bit quicker than originally planned.
Link and download are working for me, also played through the packed game once, if there are any problems or bugs, just let me know.

Playtime: ~5-15 minutes.

I still don't get what shield like icon do, also the gear and down arrow.
And it doesn't show who is attacking who or if units are attacking or not, and other infos.

EDIT2:
New Version 2019 05 03:
- Fixed a bug that led to Elfs and Crusaders not attacking properly.
- One rightclick on the battlefield now returns you to the main menu, rightclicking on the menu will still only return you to the previous sub menu. (Judging from feedback, this should hopefully improve useablility a lot)
- The Targets of selected units now have a hair cross as teir shadow. (This should clear up who is being atttacked)
- The movemnt of stuck units should have been improved. (They won't be stuck for as long and should get around smaller obstacles faster)

@Dama Those are details about the unit. (they decide if attacks do bonus damage, though I haven't implemented any alternative unit skills right now so you can't change the defaults.)
Anyway, should probably add that to the Instructions later, but just as a quick guide:
(Full Shield = Heavy Armor, Outlined Shield = Light Armor)
(Gear = Mechanized unit, DNA = Biological unit, Magic Circle = Magical unit)
(Down = Ground unit, Up = Flying unit, Up And Down = Collossal unit)

Right now units automatically attack the closest enemy unit to them, unless a target is selected, but yeah, I should probably add damage numbers and maybe a target to the map. (At least if all selected units share a target, otherwise it would be really messy)

Thank you very much for the feedback.

Edit: Also just found a bug that prevents Elfs and Crusaders from attacking, maybe was a problem you had, if you didn't employ any snowmen or sledges, then the first group of crusaders might not have done anything and neither did your elfs. (There is a sword slash animation that plays if units fight)

Version 2019 05 09:
- Holding down the "Shift" key while pressing a menu button will display information about that button.
- You can now zoom with the mouse wheel or the pageup/down keys.
- Pressing Enter/Space will pause/continue the game.
- An additional icon has been added to the upper left corner that displays the current status of the game (running/paused).

Not much happened in the last month and there won't be a new demo in the near future, but:
- I am in the process of changing the games resolution to 1280x720.
- Unit Movement over long distances has been added. Gone are the days of units getting stuck running against a wall:
