For the game itself, you must grab the v1.1.04 first then get the 1.1.07 patch to run the game properly.

And well, do you can find those files in Dungeon!/Audio/BGM folder? If no, it seems the file is missing. I can send you the audio files if you want.

Cheers~

Sure that'd be great, in the meantime I just renamed some other songs and put them in there, but I like the idea of the battle themes changing based on who is in your party, so how would you get the audio files to me?

For now, I'll send you a ZIP containing BGMS. Extract it in the game folder.

Hope it can fix the problem for now.

Cheers~

Bump for the patch announcement.

Patch for Eremidia: Dungeon! that should fix some severe bugs. Check the complete changelog at http://wp.me/p3h4qA-1J for more info.

Of course, you'll need Eremidia: Dungeon! v1.1.04 to make the patch works, since it's only designed for the version 1.1

Cheers~

OK! So, i played your game.  This is what I think......

I like the music.  Could you please explain the combat better? (specifically the time-hit system), it went by too quickly and I didn't get a chance to learn it.

I didn't like how much storyline was in the beginning all at once BUT i like how you didnt make the player walk to the next storyline that was subsequent. Also, the writing needs some grammar fixing (I'm available and will do it for free if you'd like). For example, the following dialogue doesn't make sense in English, "... I don't even know if I can retain this young body after hundred of years... And I'm still waiting for his coming for cure..."

I think the combat is creative and fun. The game is well designed, it's obvious that a lot of care went into it!

All in all, so far it's a 7.5/10, well on its way to being a classic!

P.S. Frog king soup?! in front of the king!? HOW DARE SHE

Also, the villain is named the "black one"? man! you all need some sensitivity training at our U.S. liberal schools! hahaha

The combat? If you've played Paper Mario or Mario & Luigi games, you'll find it similar with this game; push button when the actor is about to swing his/her weapon to the target. The exclamation balloon appears on their head when in that moment so notice the movement the actor (and enemy as well). It needs practice indeed, since this requires quick reflects :D

If you want to get used to the system, try to engage a fight in first floor, and give your Companions some Clovers to slightly boost their performance, so you can learn the Timed-Hit system with easy-level monsters...

The story... Well, that one is my homework to mend the story and will be re-arranged in next update, including grammars (Yeah. That's not my forte and that time was my worst time to write the dialogues), so I'm sorry for the mistakes in this point.

The frog king soup... Well, that witch is a stubborn one, and fears nothing but his beloved one. Good thing that the contributors decided to not include her in the Companion list...

Well, glad to hear your words about this game. Thanks, and stay tuned for the next update ;)

...about that 'Black One', maybe you're right; we need a better name for it. I named it 'Black One' because it's black literally, and BTW it's not a man :guffaw:

Yeah, JDBArtist. This isn't a bread-and-butter dungeon-crawler game; equipments are vital for survival. :guffaw:

Meanwhile, I'd like to show this footage. It's a bit of v1.2 development phase and involving some of eye-candy I'm working on.

So, what do you think about the footage? :D

Cool video. My concern is the battle popup is too small. But the combo counter saved it.

So, is this a dungeon crawling game? Looks good, tbh.  :)

Thanks, Isumi. Redoing the sprites and set the sequences take lotsa time, but totally worth all of the things. Perhaps I'll consider lots of the script changes for the next update...

And yes, this is sorta dungeon-crawling even in fact it's currently only have one dungeon... :p

And talking about the script changes...

Introducing the Grid System (namely E:D! Grid System), designed for E:D!1.2 which in objection to make characters have more characteristics as well with enemies, also to make your tanking/balling/carrying/supporting/sniping/kill-stealing/you-name-it characters make their role more intense.

And they said the kid can't be a baller out there...

With this Grid System, the battle in-game will be more intriguing. Why? Let me show this to you.

You can enter, or stay away from the battle. Look at Nella, that gal who flew away from battle. The gal will snipe the slimes from there, BTW...

Let me explain this.

Unless your sword can shoot bullets or magics, the swordsman shall be in front of battle. The Grid System will force certain character to take proper position to attack... and to prevent possible incoming attacks.

Cleave attack now makes more sense. The effect can be controlled better, in this condition the slimes beside of the targetted slime take the effect. The rest won't take it, as in E:D!1.1 the cleave effect will take ALL the enemies in field.

Ranged characters will have Splash effect that granted from state or equips. Sounds imba indeed, but it's only on paper. Affects enemy in area, of course, and this makes a base of Area-of-Effect (AoE) mechanism.

Spells with AoE makes more sense, like Cleave effect does. This way, the mechanism will make only certain targets will be affected, which is sexy. Practical and provides more tactics, which is more sexy...
That's all I can show for now. The development is still in progress. And the beta will be released not so soon, though, so stay tuned ;)

I like the game a lot! Here are my first impressions in a nice bulleted list:

-Dialogue was poor in some areas, not talking about just the grammar, in the intro alone I felt there were way too many "flirt" jokes, one here and there is funny but I felt it had already gotten old by the end of the intro.

-Intro was WAY long, but I like the story and knew there was dungeon crawling ahead so that's okay :)

-Battle system is awesome, did you design it?

-Maps are designed very well overall, but some things throw them off. Example: the fence around the town looks very unnatural/odd

-Also I love those chibi facesets, not sure if they are self made by you but awesome

-Noticed that when I bought health potions I had two stacks of the same kind showing up in my inventory

Great game, look forward to the next updates!

Thanks, Giant.

And well, it's just like what you said in the dialogues; since the idea came from my friend and it's written in Bahasa Indonesia, I must translate it without any dictionary for difficult phrases. That's why it's kinda mess, and it's in top of my list in next update. Perhaps, I'll add or remove some scenes to refine the intro so it won't be too long anymore...

Yes, I designed the battle system. Taken from my previous game, Wandering Brawler and refined many times so it fits with the variation of characters and enemies in the game.

The maps are designed by the contributors. Maybe I didn't check the fences in the town, but I'll check it out and fix it in next update.

Facesets came from Lazcht (http://lazcht.deviantart.com) who gave a relieving help for graphical assets as well with the title logo that refined in his/her hand as well.

I don't know exactly if Lazcht is a guy or a girl, so it's confusing to address him.... or her?  :guffaw:

The Limited Inventory system restricts you to have a stack of items in large amount; when it reaches stack cap, it'll make another stack in the bag. Also, you have limited space for your items so pay attention to your bag when looting or buying items. The inventory space can be extended by purchasing another bag from Explorer merchants in Merchant Guild and equip it to the Scout.

That's all, and thanks for your appreciation. Stay tuned for the update announcements :D

This looks absolutely fantastic. Your combat system reminds me of one of the most innovative RPG Maker games I know, The Reconstruction. Keep going, you've got gold on your hands!

Don't get the wrong impression from me about the intro though, I really liked the story in it. I just thought it was long, but that doesn't necessarily mean it should be shortened. Take great care with editing that kind of thing because you don't want to dull down any of the stuff you've worked so hard on.

Well, a sneak peek of Eremidia: Dungeon! Grid System, I recorded it when benchmarking and debugging.  I'm afraid I can't put the alpha build to be tested so I made the video instead.

This looks great! I'll wait for the next version to try it out, sounds like a lot of cool stuff is coming :)

Also, I could provide you with a german translation if you want one, but it's probably better to start with that when the game is "finished".  :)

Thanks, Pumamori.

The next version will be up this Fall, if nothing goes wrong. This month, I have to finish my reports and papers first then finish the characters remake. Hope it won't take a long time...

For the translation, of course I appreciate it. And yes, that would be better if the game itself has been "finished"  :)

Well, stay tuned for the updates and announcements about E:D!1.2.

This looks fricking brilliant. The battle system and dungeons especially.

I'm guessing the frog king is inspired by the Oglop Regent Cid of Linblum? haha
