I only just realized there was a hello topic area, introduction area. I have posted a couple of times but I guess I should say hey for real.

So HEY!

I am really quite new to the whole forum idea in fact. I got Ace because I always had a great idea for a game. My wife was tired of me constantly telling her about this cool amazing idea and told me to just do it myself.

I am looking forward to bringing a bit of that idea to everybody here. I know I will need all the help I can get. I am looking forward to learning new skills and watching a game go from idea to reality.

Yeah there really isn't anything else to say. Really looking forward to being apart of this forum community and building friendships and possibly partnerships on here building/designing/and creating games.

Don't make your first project be this dream game idea of yours though. Your first project will never be as good as you want it to be nor will it reach your true potential.

Welcome to the community. It's a  super helpful one so don't be afraid to ask questions and stuff.

Welcome to the forums. And let me agree with LostFonDrive. While it's great that you have a cool idea and plan to make a dream game and all, it's best to make a small project first for learning purposes before planning your big thing.

Welcome to the group! I gotta agree with what they said though, learn with smaller, less "important" projects before going at it or you will just frustrate and disappoint yourself.

@LostFonDrive, Miss Nile, and Cadh20000 - Thank you. I will definitely do that. I haven't designed anything yet. Just paper and pen work for my ideas. I am currently reading an article from Dark Gaia about "About First Projects". Hopefully that will give me an idea of what to even do for a first project.

Got to reign in the dream horses and let the learn to walk before we go flying. Thanks again you guys for the support. I really can't wait to create something and let you guys try it.

The quote in your sig makes it sound like you may be a writer, are you? If so what genres do you write(I mean other than just the game story lines)?
Personally I write fantasy and romance usually.

@Cadh20000 - I am not a writer but I am...as confusing as that can sound. My trade is engineering. I went to school for Aerospace engineering and work as a quality engineer. I have done a bit of writing for sure. I have a book that is a work in progress. It is an apocalyptic themed. Otherwise just working on my game story and some fantasy ideas.

Have you gotten anything to print?

@LostFonDrive - yeah I have gone through this tutorial. First thing I did once I got the rpgmaker software. It is very good. Now time to spread my wings and make a game.
