Hi! So I'm very new to RPGMaker and kicking around ideas for a game jam, but I ... have a bad habit of getting overambitious.
My thought for the "main" game mechanic was a protagonist who transforms into a 'random' enemy - a bit like Gau's Rage skill from FF6, but under the player's control. (So you can choose to 'transform' during a battle, but you will get transformed into one random enemy until you choose to switch back.)
My question is, can I just use The Werewolf Transformation Tutorial that literally everyone uses for this kind of thing and have the conditional branch pick between states at random, or is this going to be something that requires, like, scripting and tearing-one's-hair-out?
This jam lasts for three months, so I have SOME time to implement everything, but I'm trying to figure out whether this is even a good idea before I make it a core mechanic.
