Thread numer two, because I am to stupid to use tags.

Ahem...

Well hello there!

After the release of the 2k3 in english I immediatly started to work on a project. The sad thing, soon after I didn't have anymore time to continue. And now I have neither the time nor the motivation to continue it and no idea how long that will be. However, even though the game is currently only a very early look at what's yet to come (and pretty basic overall), I thought I would just show you what I've got.

Sao 2k3 (early look)

Edit: You need the 2k3 RTP in order to play the game.

Anyways, the game is a pretty basic game, standard tiles and stuff, nothing really fancy. Gameplaywise it's a fun RPG. A normal, albeit pretty hard, RPG with many jokes. It's somehwat similar to Deadpool, because the characters know they are in a game and there are more than enough references which break the 4th wall. The game itself doesn't take itself or anything - neither me nor you, the player - seriously. But that aside, it is still a RPG. The difficulty is as said pretty high and because there are areas missing the higher difficulties need you to follow a strict order of battles in order to actually beat anything. Also, most of the time you can make battles easier or harder depending on what you do. An example (that is not ingame), you could either fight 2 thieves head on, suprise them (gaining a first strike) or moving around, fighting them one after the other. Therefore you have to explore much, as every map can be existed at every point if you can reach said point. The same goes for stuff that looks somewhat out of the ordinary. You can interact with everything that's not "normal".

The game itself is a continueation of an older game of mine. But since the story is basically "Sao moves around and does stuff" you haven't missed out, except for not understanding some of the references (the older game used Rm2k RTP graphics and basically only that and edits). There are currently 4 difficulties, if you just want to see the whackiness, play it on easy, because even normal is pretty hard in reminiscence of the older game. If you choose anything besides easy, be prepared for many deaths and loading screens as even now you can probably just run out of items and therefore not do everything. You can save everywhere, so you should do that often and on different slots. The game is as said unfinished, only 8 maps and roughly, I guess, 15-30 minutes of gameplay depending on the difficulty and how often you die. It's more the overall feeling witht the exploration and the battles I want to present you.

Here are two screens, nothing special as said:

So, with that out of the way, have fun! Even if it isn't much I wanted to share this instead of just letting it rot on my computer. xD

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
