you can try implementing Anti-lag scripts if you haven't done so already

I never knew those kind of scripts existed. It didn't help with the SAS script, but it would be really good to have an anti-lag script on hand, so thanks anyway!

EDIT: Nevermind, I've kinda fixed it. I was originally going to use a different ABS, but I couldn't get to work, so I found this one. I just tried using the old one again and it works now! You know why? Because last time I forgot to export four pictures...   :stare: . So, again, thank you for helping me!

I'm using The Ultimate Overlay Script with this. SO I'm not restricted to VXA Square style and Sapphire Action System's native Pixel Movement functionality seems to totally ignore my custom tileset's passability settings. Is there anyone out there who found a smart way to use the collision system or to force passability on it?

Well, I don't know about you guys, but it seems to me like the link to the website is broken. I don't even think there is "arcthunder.com" anymore. I'm sure we would all appreciate your efforts if you were to fix this.

I've only just downloaded the script and have yet to implement it but I noticed the following in section 9 of the included PDF:

"In order to improve the SAS IV performance, some features of the RPG Maker VX Ace were removed:

followers, vehicles, map loop and damage by terrain. These functions won’t be restored."

:(

A shame to loose the caterpillar. But, as you have pointed this out, I guess this does mean that you can actually still have multiple party members and change them during play? The included game demo only showed swapping and party formation is greyed out.

I'm just starting out with RPGMVXa myself, but I think that map loop and damage by terrain could be simulated with events. Not sure about vehicles.

Is it possible to add a function to this script?


I want to add a simple HUD that shows the current weapon equipped, as well as certain items. When the corresponding button is pushed for the item, it is used.


It would help me lots!

How would I go about changing/creating a skill graphic? I've looked and seen that the source for the demo skills are animations, however the animations used look different, so I believe there is something more to it.

Is there any way to make the enemies drop gold when they die? Because when you edit the enemy stats nothing happens.

Great script by the way!

when i try to play and activate the script it just crashes and says: script 'game_Interpreter' line 1411: NoMethodError occurred. undefined method 'empty?' for nil:nilclass

what does this mean?!?! and how do i fix this

please help

im a total noob at scripting so i have no idea waht you mean.
All ABS scripts need to be configured, and they usually don't work plug'n play. Which means that after copying the scripts into your project, you need to add (depending on the script) database entries, event commands with script calls and/or configure and edit the scripts setup areas.
Khas basically wants to know what you did to make the script work after you copied it into your project.

You used the "Call Script" command within an event (which is causing the error). I want to now what is inside that command.

Also, please note that you need to know the basic commands and functionality of RPG Maker before using SAS.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
