I am trying to make a simple escape scroll that works off a variable that needs to be captured when a player actives an event.

Is there a  way to capture that coordinate and save it into a variable that be recalled in an event?

Or if there is an another solution please let me know

Thanks,

David

Go to set variable then on the value part, choose game data go to character -> (player or event, whichever you need) -> MAP X

then do that for MAP Y too...

Control Variables > Game Data > Map ID

You have to do these BEFORE you transfer away. Then to go back to that spot, just do Transfer Player and take the second option to designate the location by variables.

post a pic of your event page...

The one I posted should capture the position oft he player or the event on the current map... unless you're not on a map maybe...

Got it.  instead of playertouch. I changed it to eventtouch and it worked.  Thanks for the great help!  Is there anyway I could rate you up for this?

Player touch and Event touch should not make a difference. Unless you had played from a save file and the variable had not been set before you transferred the first time. When you make changes like this, you should rarely continue from a save file.

Your right.  I was playing from a Saved Game and that makes complete sense as well.   Lesson learned the hard way again :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
