I know this request was asked earlier but that was for rmmv, and I tried that one hoping it would work but it doesn't. The reason why I want the save file location to be changeable is because I want to use the feature of nwjs that allows someone to package all their RPGmaker game files into a zip file and name it "whatever". Nw. As it stands currently doing that allows for the game to be played and everything, but the save file isn't saved as its loaded into a temporary folder that gets deleted upon close. I wish I could do It myself but I don't have the Javascript skizzles (or knowledge of the RPGmaker code base) to make it myself, and it would be really useful to use this for rmmz (especially since it has more streamlined compression potential)

i can only assume you're asking about the plugin I mentioned (it's like 12 when i'm writing this so forgive my lack of comprehension) I don't remember it's name now, but it was a plugin a used for this exact reason in MV, I tried that plugin plus basically every plugin that advertises that it allows MV plugins to work with MZ (yes I even tried this plugin without those plugins) it's always an issue due to how MZ reads save files compared to MV

I didn't quite understand the purpose of what you need.

If it is to save all the game files it will be very complex and time consuming.
This can overwhelm simpler devices or on home computers.

Like what I'm asking for is the ability to change where the save file is saved. I want it to be saved some place else instead of in "[Game Directory] /saves"

I've tried out this plugin, and though it sort of is what i'm after, I have no idea how to move the same location to outside of the game folder

Just to clarify (because the original post here was just word spaghetti)

I'm trying to use the package.nw trick that's part of NWJS

when the game loads it unzips it into a temp folder in AppData/Local

even with this plugin because it's still in the folder where game.exe is it still gets erased when the game is closed

nevermind after some tweaking I got it to work exactly how I wanted it to work

all you do to change the actual path is change the "const dirSave" variable (so like make it equal to the folders' names you want with a / to represent a subfolder)

and if you want it to be somewhere entirely different using process.env it tells you where folders like the user folder and the appdata folder is (Process.env.APPDATA being obviously appdata)

The idea was to look at the original but at a medium distance.
