Sorry if it's a too newbie question, I've been far for sometime and I simply forgot (and couldn't find an answer) how to do it, if possible.

I'm using a lighting plugin that needs a long comment, like:

CUSTOM 22 Light 75 80 [255,-155,-155,100] true 1 ADD 80

I will for sure use it multiple times, and it will be a pain in the *** to edit all of them later, so I was trying to save it in a var to reuse being safe to edit only the var if needed. I tried:

$gameVariables.setValue(300, 'CUSTOM 22 Light 75 80 [255,-155,-155,100] true 1 ADD 80');

in an Auto Execution event, with "\v[300]" on the event I want to light, but no way...

This is how you can call the plugin command via event's script call (I assume you saved it in the variable 300 through the setValue command in your original post):
Code:
var args = $gameVariables.value(300).split(" ");
var command = args.shift();
this.pluginCommand(command, args);'

Thank you. It doesn't seem to be what I need, though, since the var need to be put into a comment and not as a plugin command. No idea how to do it...

That will depend on the plugin itself..

Most plugins that uses event comments do it via loading the events command list and checking the command that corresponds to "Event Command: Comment". In that case, without modifying the plugin itself , you cant make it read a variable as the comment, unless the plugin is set to do eval on the comment itself. But seeing the command you posted, I doubt that is the case.

Ooh, sorry, I misunderstood.
You can manually input data into
Code:
$dataMap.events[i].pages
. If you want to know more about that, feel free to browse in dev tools (f8 or f12 in game).

Btw. regarding Soul's edison mv, Soulpour has left the rpg maker. There have been several incidents of credit theft made by Soulpour, which resulted in people generally not recommending using his plugins as you could never know what was his genuine work and what was stolen.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
