Synopsis

The DreamScape,  an alternate world traversed by the slumbering and filled with unlimited happiness and creativity. All of those who dream travel here, except one man. Angered by his dreamless dilemma, he set off on a quest to destroy the DreamScape and restful nights forever! This man became known as The Mare.

Very close to completing his goal, the Dream Guardians, under the command of the Sister Spirits vanquished The Mare and placed him in an eternal sleep. For centuries after, people once more slumbered in peace and this story soon became legend.

However, the legend tells of a child, born with dreams but would soon loose the ability to remember them. This milestone in the child's life would spur the awakening of The Mare and the bringing of the NightScape, the place of nightmares.

It would then be up to this child and the help of three others to travel to the DreamScape  and defeat The Mare once and for all!

Well, since you said you were going to play my game, I figured I would go ahead and play yours.

Pros:

-The world map was really neat. From the way you designed it it felt like each town was more than just a few buildings here and there.

-The premise was kind of interesting.

Cons:

-You should probably have speaker names in the dialogue boxes. It can get really confusing when you have to keep track of so many names at once without a reference.

-Collecting the fairies was trivially easy. They move way too slowly and they don't try to avoid you either. Plus, the plants were really easy to avoid and barely put up a fight.

-Any sense of challenge was non-existent due to the village elder giving you 3,000 zeal and healing items right off the bat. A few potions and enough zeal to buy a decent piece of equipment or two is fine, but I had enough to get the best weapons and armor before I left the first town. As you would imagine, I plowed through the enemies effortlessly.

-Getting a skill that dodges all magic from the start is pretty OP.

-The ending was really abrupt. Perhaps the ice spirit could've given you a boss fight before letting you in to the peaks before the demo ended?

-You should probably include these, they'll vastly improve the flow of your game just by being there. https://yanflychannel.wordpress.com/rmvxa/battle-scripts/ace-battle-engine/ https://yanflychannel.wordpress.com/rmvxa/battle-scripts/victory-aftermath/ https://yanflychannel.wordpress.com/rmvxa/menu-scripts/ace-shop-options/

-Why did you include all the other versions of the demo in the folder? It makes the file take really long to download.

In the end, the reason I'm being so harsh is because I see potential and I know it will not come to fruition if I just blindly praise everything.

Wow. Thanks for playing the demo! I really appreciate your critics. I was so worried about making the game too hard that it seems that I've made the game too easy. However, no one else has mentioned anything so I'll ask a couple others who have played the demo. Thanks for the shop script too. I actually really like the way it looks and it makes it easier to see what you're buying.

However, I am a bit confused about the extra version in the demo folder? Are you talking about the Google Drive Folder or the .exe folder itself?

Thanks for the scripts although I don't think I'll change the battle system. I actually really like the default one.

And I have played your game! I find it to be very amusing in terms of character and dialog. However, I find it kind of confusing in terms of where the quests are.

I saw that you update the demo so I'm just going to re-download it and start over.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
